A beer for the ladies, crazies and conniseuers. A floral, hoppy and fruity French style saison. Saisons are completely undescribable so we wonít even try. Our interpretation has five types of grain, Lavery Estate hops and three different strains of yeast! The yeast is the star of this show - fruity, spicy, fragrant, alluring and simply delicious. This beer ends dry and crisp and bottled conditioned with Brettanomyces Clausenii, a wild yeast that adds fruity, tart and mildly funky aromas and flavors to ale. This beer is great young but will change considerably with time.

Bottle sample at Natifest 2013. Pours a hazy yellow orange color with a thin whitish head. The aroma and flavor have tart citrus, mildly spicy, wheat grass, some brett funkiness, orange. The flavors get kind of soft which Iím sure is influenced by the big beers I tasted around this.

Received this in a trade with jdb288. The first beer I opened from his first ever trade. Poured a little cold at 45 F. This beer has a big fluffy white head and the beer is quite hazy (after the bottle being rolled) and kind of lemonade gold yellow. A fairly complex aroma with yeast, fruit, pale malts, and just a hint of funk. The first sip brings lemon and earth. Just a little spice. This is generally a gentle beer with nothing huge. Some wild yeast is tasted. Bret, maybe? Light hops and very light bitterness. The lemon stays dominant.

Bottle shared by Dr. Moll. The beer is transparent and yellow with a thin white head. The aroma is straight apple juice. This beer is pretty much bland with some apple juice notes. Unexciting. Green apples, apple skins. A one-dimensional beer. Drive finish and lacking complexity on the palate. Meh...

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 10/20/13

Aroma: The aroma is pretty nicely funky and yeasty, brett, spice, and some citrus
Appearance: It pours a cloudy yellow color with a bright white, foamy head and average lace
Flavor: The taste is similar, brett, musk, and spice, mild sweet, with some tart lemon as well
Palate: The one is light bodied, it has an overly fizzy carbonation, and a dry, spicy finish
Overall Impression: Really nice example of the style. They got a nice funk presence here, and the lemony tartness and mild sweetness work nicely with the funky farmhouse flavors. Only the over carbonation keeps this from being extremely drinkable, but in general, this is really quite good.

Bottle from Johns. Very pale hazy gold with fluffy and slightly fizzy white head. Aroma of mild funk lemon pixie stix and soap. Very mild pineapple mango fruity sweetness with very dry mildly funky spicy peppery finish. Very light body. Slighly chalky. Slightly overcarbonated. Still, very refreshing and tasty.

No bottling date.
Appearance: This is a beautiful beer, hazy and golden with a tall white head that slowly dissipates into a foamy uneven coating.
Aroma: On the first smell I get straw and some lemon, upon a swirl and further examination it becomes a bit earthy, a touch floral and peppery with hints of sweet orange. The aroma is a bit weak and dull.
Taste: Hints of corn add a mild sweetness as a dry lemony and floral hop presence overlies it. Pepper is overlying it all with a slight numbing sensation on my tongue by the finish. The finish is dry and lingers a bit, slightly numbing on my tongue and a tad rubbery and earthy.
Palate: Light and foamy, the carbonation expands.
Overall: Not something I enjoy very much. Maybe it will age well, but I donít like this very much fresh.

Taster at Natifest 2013, from a bottle. Hazy pale yellow orange color. Virtually no head, a minimal bubbly white bit. Medium body. Soft, tingly carbonation of moderate strength. More dry finish. Moderate tart, light spicy. Wheat; spice, some bretty funk. Light orange citrus. Respectable farmhouse.

22 oz. bottle shared at Natifest by Steve- thanks again! Pours a pale yellow color, hazed, with a white head. Aroma of lemon, light funk, sourdough, paper, straw, and a metallic note. Flavor of bretty funk, sourdough, lemon, and floral notes. Light-bodied, with a dry, funky mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Not bad, but seem to have missed the mark a bit here.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2013 sampled at NatiFest 2013 (by JCW) - cloudy straw with white head. Nose is a filed at harvest. tad sweeter than I would have expected for the style. Many champagne characteristics.
