COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after the Irish legend of the Jack O Lantern. Brewed with Pumpkins and Spices. Subtle spicing to make sure you can enjoy more than 1 pint per session. A drier version of your standard Pumpkin ale, ours is not cloyingly sweet. A nice toasty/biscuity flavor from the American pale ale malt, slight hop bitterness from Northern Brewer and our house yeast blend that leaves slightly fruity esters. Formerly known as Lavery Stingy Jack Pumpkin Ale.

Interesting pumpkin. Light, sweet flavor with biscuit and bread. Given the glut of similar pumpkins, a nice different taste.

Pours a reddish brown, not much head, and relatively clear. Aromas of pumpkin, spices, and breadiness. Taste follows the nose. Not overpowering and pretty balanced. Still prefer Pumking or the Schlafly pumpkin to this, but overall not bad.

Sample at Kurtkeller 017: Pumpkin-tastic 02 on 10/13/2014. Pours a hazy reddish-brown color with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily. Medium-bodied with flavors of pumpkin spices and bready malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of nutmeg, cinnamon and biscuit malt. The finish is sweet with a spice and malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

IMO this is the perfect pumpkin ale. Not overwhelming in any area and perfectly balanced. Itís beer that happens to be flavored, not the opposite. If you want a pumpkin pie, then, by all means, get one of the many over-the-top pumpkin ales out there.

Fricken hilarious, devil name and all, heheh. Has a mild aroma of punky spices, of course. Pretty dark brown but its not stout dark, light shines thru, rosy like. Feel is some co2 in thar. Makes it acceptable. Lots of punky spice and it dont say if there is really punk in thar. Lots of spice fer sure but she is not over the top, thank U!2 Not sure where the devil thing comes from, not tha bad, must be a marketing gimmmmmmmmik. Sense it is pumpy kumoy but is not. Just go figger dude or deessss.

draft at Coles, Buffalo NY. I thought this was a solid pumpkin Ale. medium mouthfeel, good pumpkin pie flavor, spiced but not overly so. nutmeg, cinnamon, clove. Not a big pumpkin fan but this was pretty good

on tap at the brewery. Cloudy amber in color with a spare off-white head. Aroma is heavily molasses and spices, smells sweet as hell. Flavor deviates from the aroma, the malt takes the forefront with nice spice notes backing it up. Moderately sweet with a slick texture and soft carbonation. A bit different from an average pumpkin beer, pretty good.

Great pumpkin ale. Smooth, balanced with a slightly sweet finish. More beer and less pumpkin flavor. Quality beer from a great brewer.

Bomber from Capones. Poured a chunky orange brown with a long lasting average sized creamy light beige head. Aroma is a bit weak, notes of pumpkin spice, cinnamon and nutmeg, lots of biscuit and grains. Full body with a creamy overall feel and light to average small bubbly carbonation. Flavor is a step up from the aroma with notes light chocolate, grains, cereal malts, lighter spice than the aroma, pumpkin. Not bad.
