I walked in to Kroger thinking I had more money than I actually had in my pocket. Looked for the Debit card... Damn left it too. So I left there with a cheap not so exciting beer. I hated Lawson Creek pale ale. This is less offensive than the PA, but is sub-par at best. It’s kind of blah. You have to strain smell any hint of hops and a bit of carmel. Leinie’s Red costs about a dollar more than this is a hell of a lot better. If you want to go the cheap route like my poor ass.

Nov 18, 2006 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were and left behind a transparent softly carbonated brown colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was brown malt and grassy. The crisp and clean mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of Irish red malt. A decent one, thin but not one that I would consider buying again.

Nov 14, 2006 Not a bad beer at all, It has a satifying some-what woody taste, an ok amount of head, not a lot of lacing, Decent price for a good solid "red" ale, not really worth trying at all...

Oct 20, 2006 Bottle. Very small ivory head that mostly diminished, poor lacing, visible carbonation, transparent, and an orange-red hue. Nose was malty, toffee and some caramel. Flavor was malty, caramel and a lot of toffee. Tingly mouthfeel and light body. Nothing to write home about with this one. It was drinkable, but nothing really to knock your socks off.

Sep 3, 2006 Pours orange-red with a white head. Not much in the way of an aroma. Same goes for flavor -- very thin and one-dimensional, not much going on here. Disappointing.
