This American Double India Pale Ale is packed with juicy tropical fruit flavors and bright herbal aroma, thanks to the abundance of US-grown hops.

This is a perfect beer for me. Crisp and clean with huge hoppy aroma but not too bitter. Very balanced and drinkable

# 2150. 22 oz bomber. Ive had this delicious bomber so many times, especially during the Vermont ski trip of 2012, that its finally time to rate it. Pours a slightly hazy yellow straw gold with a medium sized white head. Aroma of fresh grapefruit, bitter hops, tropical fruit notes, Juicy Fruit gum and more fresh wonderful hops. Taste is very much the same as described in the aroma. This was the best beer I have had in ages. One of the best, if not the best IIPA I have had to date. Spectacular !!

World class stuff here by Lawson’s. Juicy tropical fruits with a slight herbal nose. Astringent. Taste is a hop assault up front and on the back end. Balanced well in the middle by a subtle malt. I could drink this beer every day.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2014 Bottle shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike! The beer is a clear, golden hue with a thick finger of white head that leaves a generous amount of lacing on the glass. The aroma is awesome, and I know right away that I’m in for a treat. Pine, grapefruit, melon, citrus. The taste does not disappoint, bringing a healthy dose of fresh hops and citrus fruits. Alcohol content is masked extremely well in both the aroma and flavor. At 8% abv, this beer is dangerously easy to quaff. Hoppy grapefruit juice. Mmm. The feel is light to medium bodied with a very nice feel on the palate. The finish brings a healthy dose of dryness and bitter hops. Overall, a terrific beer and well worth trying. I’ve been pretty impressed with everything I have had from Lawson’s Finest Liquids so far. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 03-21-2011

22 oz. bottle all to myself! Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. Pours cloudy bright orange with bright yellow cloudiness. Looks magnificent in the sunlight. Has a soapy, frothy white head with beautiful head retention and small legs. All the hop aromas are centered straight into my face. Aroma is seriously DANK - in every sense of the word. Pine, tropical fruits, lemon zest, orange blossom honey, flower petals, grapefruit, mango and then some more danky fresh bud. I swear I could get high off this. Taste is complex, with much of the above stated tropical fruits, and malt sweetness to back it up. Completely well balanced flavors and juicy, creamy mouth fell. Lots of citrus and floral notes on the tongue, some pine and bitter grapefruit on the finish. Beautiful lacing the whole way down. Finish is a touch too juicy with some dryness, and a nice soft alcohol warmth. Aftertaste is like licking a rainbow made of hop varietals. If the finish was a little more dry this would be the perfect DIPA. Incredible.

Bottle from most recent Coop release poured into Lawson’s snifter 8/23/13. Bottle is 1 week old based on when it was purchased. A- Pours a cloudy orange hue with a two inch fluffy white head. Medium to high carbonation is visible. Excellent retention and lacing. Over a few minutes, the head fades down to a quarter inch plug over the beer. S- Big dank hops followed by a blast of grapefruit, mango, and a little spicy note as well. Very small caramel malt aroma that is all but covered up by the tropical fruit and piney hop character. T- The initial sip before you swallow makes it seem like the beer will be a lot more tame than it really is. An absolute blast of grapefruit and pine intertwined with mango, orange zest, and an intense bitter note that leaves you wanting more of the beginning sip. M- The carbonation is medium at best, and overall the body is right in the middle of the road. This beer finishes extremely dry, accentuating the bitter notes and making it go down way too easy. I could drink a pint of this in a few minutes without even realizing where it had gone. There is a slight indication of the alcohol, but it is forgotten by the huge aroma and flavor this beer throws at you. O- Not my first time having this gem, and hopefully not my last either. An absolute treat to drink- definitely in my top 5 DIPAS, behind HF S&S 5 and 6, although this is solidly more drinkable than either Heady Topper or Pliny. A hophead’s paradise.

Bottle. Pours murky orange with thin white head that lingers. Smells very grape fruity and sweet musk over light carbonation. Aroma unlike any other ipa I've had. 1st rate complexity and surprisingly easy drinking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

simply one of the best balanced double IPA is on the market. appearances golden exactly like the color of sunshine. aroma is full of tropical fruit notes and hops suggest what should be a very bitter beer turns out to be exceptionally well balanced. there’s something about the water used by Hill farmstead Lawsons and the alchemist that makes all three of these breweries the finest in the United States. I make a trip up to Waterbury every winter and these three are by far and away the best brewers.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2014 3 drafts so far at blind tiger with scarlett and Jeremy. Pours a bright hazy orange with slight white lacing. Aroma is the most freshest citrus, lemon, grapefruit, and bitter orange peel and light lime. Mouthfeel is incredibly smooth and refreshing with notes of citrus, pine, grapefruit, light funk and faint mineral character. Amazing citrus double ipa.
