5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 PhillyCraft (1984) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 25, 2012
UPDATED: APR 21, 2013 Bottle with friends. Poured a hazed out yellow gold color. Small white head that was very thick. Aroma is an explosion of hops, including notes of grapefruit, citra, lemongrass, pine, earthy malts and hops throughout. Taste is a salivating hop bomb of citrus fuels including lime, grapefruit, lemon zest. Flavor was indeed a lingerer. I wanted more of this badly but we only had a bottle to share for the table. Huge thanks to whoever cracked this. Def in my top three of this year next to bitter valentine and heady topper. I have now had this beer enough to know it is indeed the best ipa in the world. Perfect in all aspects.

# 2150. 22 oz bomber. Ive had this delicious bomber so many times, especially during the Vermont ski trip of 2012, that its finally time to rate it. Pours a slightly hazy yellow straw gold with a medium sized white head. Aroma of fresh grapefruit, bitter hops, tropical fruit notes, Juicy Fruit gum and more fresh wonderful hops. Taste is very much the same as described in the aroma. This was the best beer I have had in ages. One of the best, if not the best IIPA I have had to date. Spectacular !!

World class stuff here by Lawson’s. Juicy tropical fruits with a slight herbal nose. Astringent. Taste is a hop assault up front and on the back end. Balanced well in the middle by a subtle malt. I could drink this beer every day.

22 oz. bottle all to myself! Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. Pours cloudy bright orange with bright yellow cloudiness. Looks magnificent in the sunlight. Has a soapy, frothy white head with beautiful head retention and small legs. All the hop aromas are centered straight into my face. Aroma is seriously DANK - in every sense of the word. Pine, tropical fruits, lemon zest, orange blossom honey, flower petals, grapefruit, mango and then some more danky fresh bud. I swear I could get high off this. Taste is complex, with much of the above stated tropical fruits, and malt sweetness to back it up. Completely well balanced flavors and juicy, creamy mouth fell. Lots of citrus and floral notes on the tongue, some pine and bitter grapefruit on the finish. Beautiful lacing the whole way down. Finish is a touch too juicy with some dryness, and a nice soft alcohol warmth. Aftertaste is like licking a rainbow made of hop varietals. If the finish was a little more dry this would be the perfect DIPA. Incredible.

3 drafts so far at blind tiger with scarlett and Jeremy. Pours a bright hazy orange with slight white lacing. Aroma is the most freshest citrus, lemon, grapefruit, and bitter orange peel and light line. Mouthfeel is incredibly smooth and refreshing with notes of citrus, pine, grapefruit. Amazing citrus double ipa.

Was absolutely blown away by this...and it wasn’t the best bottle of the night! 24 karat pour with a fluffy ivory head that left a bit of lacing. Aroma is pungent and mind numbing with incredibly bright grapefruit, orange peel, mango, papaya, pineapple, lemon zest, and guava. The tropical fruit and citrus presence is unbelievable along with hints of ganja. A bottled version of Lou-P-Lin that holds up incredibly to age. Can’t even imagine this on tap. Love the this is only 8%...could drink this all day, every day! World-class!

Bottle, Draft, Bottle, and Bottle. How f lucky i’ve been this year. This IPA kicks serious ass. Pours a golden orange body with a white head and great head retention. Really tropical fruit tones, but still with a modest drying finish. Very fresh cherry, citrus, and punch notes. Light weed y body with grass and a just dead drying with no residual sweetness that lightens the body. Great shit.

Sample from a bottle cracked at Tired Hands. Pours shimmering orange-gold with a thin, sudsy white head. Aroma of pears, honey, tangerine, and pineapple. Taste is very pineappley and reminiscent of Heady Topper. Silky smooth palate. Easy going, fresh, oily, and delicious. Phenomenal.
