Bottle… Pours pitch black with a mid-sized, creamy, beige head. Great retention. The bouquet is milky chocolaty and nutty – big cocoa, toasted nuts and light vanilla. Medium to full-bodied with a buttery mouthfeel and subdued carbonation. The flavor presents sweetened espresso and dark cocoa. Very roasty and burnt. Finishes bittersweet and carbonaceous. Tap at Blind Tiger. Dark black beer with a thin tan head. Aroma is quite roasty with a prominent salty character. Chewy and quite earthy. There is a hint of soft maple flavour but the aroma doesn’t really show it at all. Intensely roasty and a little bit of soy. Very sticky and very roasty and incredibly chewy. There was a light sweetness especially as it warms.

Bottle shared by noodleuser: Pours an oily opaque with a spotty-lacing dark tan head. Has a lightly sweet dark caramel and chocolate nose with a unique mild maple complexity. Starts with pretty good chewy rich fullness and a touch of smoke with subtle maple oak and dark chocolate in the finish. An enjoyable and unique imperial stout.
