3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle shared with JBPortland, Thanks ! Pours a medium copper color with a finger of eggshell foam. The nose has some sweet cotton candy, touch of citrus and a big toasted malt backbone. The palate follows and is round sweet and not very pungent Iike I was expecting. JB said this tasted nothing like the one he had had previously a week before... which makes me suspect some major bottle variation... but this was pretty meh as far as a Lawson’s DIPA goes.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Fresh bottle shared by Lunch. Thanks Paul.
The beer appears golden with a thin white head. The aroma offers butterscotch candies, must, floral hops, candy. Sweet and sticky. Cotton candy with sweet alcohol and floral hops. I’m told that this is not a good representation of this beer. Odd and cloying. A touch of citrus, but that’s entirely overpowered by sweetness and cleaning solution. Fail.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
From 10/24 notes. 22oz bottle purchased 10/24 from the Warren Store. Pours slightly hazy orange gold with 1 finger head. Nose is dank earthy pine, soil, evergreen, leaves, dirt, tree bark, sap, vanilla cake. Mouthfeel is big maltiness, medium carbonation. Taste is rich bitter hops, maple notes, sap, evergreen, pine needles, dank resin, layered herbal, basil, oregano. Finish is lasting bitter, some green spices, with a touch of warmth on the tail end. Awesome!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Review from backlog, bottle tasted early October 2012. Pours dark burnt orange caramel, medium frothy white head. Aroma is bright citrus grapefruit, dank onion, fresh pine forest hoppiness, nicely integrated caramel malt background. Taste is grapefruit, earthy pine, onions, rough caramel malts, bitter finish. Course, medium palate. Super hoppy, but perhaps not my favorite Lawsons IPA.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Orange pour, a thumbs worth of head. Catty, big citrus zest here, orange, grapefruit, lemon, pine, caramel. Lives up to the name. Big-time bitter. This one can stand a bit of age without losing its hop profile. Big thanks to Mike for letting me try this again.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
[5133-20130222] 1pt6floz bottle. Celery and light resin orange hops aroma. Slightly hazy, orange amber body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter orange peel resin hops flavour has a bit of a soap background. Medium-full body is boozy over time. Good. (8/3/7/3/16) 3.7

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2013-02-22. Lightly hazy bright orange small off-white head. 3+ Hoppy aroma, bit of cat pee, orange rind, celery. Flavour is a bit more citrusy, light leafy notes and celery. Average bodied palate. Moderate carbonation. Decent but the hop character is a bit odd. Bottle shared by Blankboy.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a golden-peach with a small ring of foam. Aroma is powerful hops, a mix of onion and pine dankness with tangerine and citrus peel. Taste is very pine forward with a slight citrus acidity. As per Lawson’s hoppy offering, it is extremely bitter, even more so than the best Vermont’s IPA (Heady topper and hill Farmstead). Full bodied and very dense. This a top tier IPA, I didn’t even noticed it was 6 months old before someone told me, It held up very well.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
My bottle [660ml] shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o Glouglouburp. Pours a hazy golden-orange with a large lasting fizzy white head. Aroma of catty and citrusy hops, it’s all hops really. Flavour is fruity and citrusy along with lots of slightly catty and resiny hops and a touch of alcohol. Dry, bitter finish. Medium bodied. A pretty good DIPA indeed, and somewhat easy to drink for a big beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle... Poured golden/orange with a moderate white head. Very nice, earthy and vibrant citrus hop characters. So much hop flavor without being overly bitter or unbalanced. Pine, floral and herbal tones, mild malt, but mostly a hop bomb here.
