Thanks to kevanb for the share. 750 ml bottle served in a FW mini snifter. A: Pours a dark amber color with a thin tan had forming on the pour. It recedes quickly to a thin ring. Minimal lace. S: Slightly hoppy with maple sweetness. Stale malts with a light cookie sweetness to it. Raw honey. T: Lagery and kolsch like. Maple sweetness. Pale malts with a little blandness to them. M: Medium to light bodied. Medium low carb. Slighlty sweet. O: This was ok. Very odd style of beer. Wouldn’t really want to try again. Serving type: bottle

From Farmhouse. Sweet aroma. Poured clear amber color with off white head. Sweet taste with hints of maple, brown sugar, caramel, and toffee. Very light bodied, almost watery feel. Overall, it’s something I’ve been wanting to taste for a while and while it’s an okay maple beer, there’s nothing interesting about it.

Recent bottle. Amber body, plenty of white head & lace. Malty, maple-y, not as complex as when I had it on draft a few weeks ago. Mild sweetness lingers after I swallow; some booziness too. Decent, not great.

Bottle shared by Gillard, pours an orange amber color, aromas of maple syrup, brown sugar, and light pine. Flavors are all maple syrup sweetness, and boze. Light spice in the aftertaste, interesting beer, thanks for the share Ryan.

This beer is really strange. Its quite boozy with spicyness that reminds me of spruce? and rye. Not that sweet but very odd. Kind of like a high Abv spiced brown ale i guess. weird.

Picked this up at the latest Farmers Market. I believe $8 a bottle. Enjoyed in a Hill Farmstead glass at cellar temp (60F)

A - Minimal head, dark amber brown.

S - Maple sweetness, some spiciness, brown sugar and lemons.

T - Taste is very sweet up front and at the finish. Middle is ground pepper and carrots. The lingering is very dry and very astringent.

M - Medium body and carbonation.

O - I thought this beer would be a little sweeter, maybe less boozy. It’s not that great but still drinkable.

Bottle shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike! A: Orange in color and slightly hazy with about a half inch of white head that leaves a thin sheet of lacing behind. S: Malt, maple syrup, molasses, brown sugar. T: I estimate that this beer tastes exactly as intended. Of course this beer was brewed in Vermont, home of the best maple syrup in the nation. The beer is sweet, with flavors of maple syrup, molasses, and brown sugar. M: Very sweet, with a medium body and moderately low carbonation. D: An interesting idea and well done, but still not very drinkable. Enjoyable in very small quantities. I’m glad I got to try this unique brew. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 12-22-2010

Thanks to InspectorBob for sharing this at the SJ BA gathering...Pours out a moderate amber color with no head. Aroma is of sweet malts, maple syrup and light alcohol. Taste is sweet sugary syrup, light caramel, some lingering fruit, brown sugar and a touch of alcohol on the finish. Rather solid.
