4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Yellow pour with a white head. Grapefruit hop aromas. Very good mouthfeel with a good body. Nice grapefruit hop notes with a sturdy malt backbone. Good balance. Side note, I think this bottle had a bit of age on it.

On tap at ACBF 6/1/2013
Light pale golden color. My notes simply say dank dank dank. This was a great beer, almost worth the 30+ minutes I waited in line for the sample.

Bouteille 22oz. Blonde légèrement orangée d’aspect trouble. Nez de fruits tropicaux, un peu de pin et une pointe d’alcool. Bouche de pamplemousse rose et de tangerines. Finale sèche où l’alcool est perceptible. Superbe.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (22 oz). Thanks to the person who brought this at the Hill Farmstead pre-3rd anniversary bottle share. Hazy golden/orange with a low fully lasting white head and good lacing. Aroma of pine, onions, dank hops and light citrus. Taste is moderately sweet with onions, pine, citrus, malt, red fruits and moderate bitterness. Medium to full body. Good carbonation. Slightly dry. There’s a lot of interesting thing going on in this one. I think it would be a great beer with 3% less abv.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz. bottle. It pours a nice deep golden color with an off white head. The aroma is super fruity with grape juice, honey, peaches, kiwi and a faint hint of pine. Very unique and juicy. No hint of fusels. The flavor is the same with ripe red grapes, peaches and citrus up front followed by a spiciness with some alcohol heat before a solid piney finish. The body is very nice without being too heavy. It’s actually pretty drinkable for a 11%+ beer. This one is all fruit, honey and alcohol. Nicely done.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ home via trade with Ernesto987. Thanks! Pours a milky yellow orange appearance with a fluffy, cream colored head. Onion, spicy herbal, a bit piney, sweet fruity malty aroma. Lemon/mango fruity, quite spicy, vanilla, onion, potent herbal hoppy flavor with some booze on the finish. Tasty but a bit too much for me.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared by cfrances33 at DLD, served in a mini snifter.
A: Pours a hazy golden orange color with a thick chunk of white foam forming on the pour. It recedes to a thick color and leaves some splotchy lace down the glass.
S: A ton of juicy citrus notes. Orange is most present with some big whiffs of pineapple coming in on the back end. Sweet malt base with a little lingering pine. Mild booze as well.
T: Orange pith with some citrus lime and lemon. Tropical fruits consisting of pineapple and sweet mango. Light piney notes with some danker resin. Sweet malt profile with a light alcohol twinge.
M: Big bodied and dry with a medium carbonation level.
O: Booze was pretty well hidden and it was nice blend of citrus and tropical fruits. It was a pretty big beer, but still went down easy.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, thanks Ernesto! First off, MUCH better than Double Sunshine. I think that might have been a bad bottle. Pours an opaque orange with slight white head. Tons of lace on the glass. Aroma is more citrus forward with a small amount of dank weed. Taste is very citrus sweet with some slight grapefruit but then finishes with a rather harsh bitterness and alcohol/jet fuel taste. Very boozy. The 11% is no joke. This is a big beer and I’m not digging big, boozy DIPAs as much these days. Cold it was very, very nice but as it warmed it was a big job to keep drinking.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Shared, huge thanks to Dave at Cigarfest. Pours a cloudy orange color with a small off white head. Aroma is dank, oily hops, pine, resiny citrus, sap, light sweetness, you can tell this is going to be huge on the hops. Taste is complex, oily, resiny, dank hops, citrus, deep pine, light bready sweetness for a touch of balance, and then more of the punch you in the face hop profile. Really nice hoppiness, ABV is really well hidden for how big this beer is, wow this is good stuff. Thanks again!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bottle. Thanks to tf for passing this one along. Picked up a couple weekends back at the anniversary party - wish I could have been there... The pour yields a mostly opaque hazy copper brown allowing just a modicum of light to pass through. A thin film of soapy white head rests on too but quickly recedes to the edges of the glass... Aroma has melon, honeydew with hints of papaya and general caramel and honey sweet forwardness throughout. Some alcohol phenols also persist and coming through more with warming ... Assertive strong boozy flavors that are sweeter than expected with notes of concentrated tropical fruit, melon, honey, and resin hitting midway and well on through the finish. Bitterness is apparent especially through on the backend with a pithy bite to it. Malts provide a fair amount of caramel sweetness that play tug of war with the aforementioned hoppy notes. Its strength is gripping and certainly felt even after the first couple sips. Fruity nature comes into play more after warming but it’s a touch overbearing with its strength. Full, almost syrupy body certainly amplifies the notes previously alluded too. This guy is big, bold, and better off suited as a slow sipper. Palate wrecker. Whoa buddy I’m flyin...
