Bottle shared by Kan, thanks! Pours a clear deep amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweetness with grain and cookie with an underlying slight light hop bitterness. Flavor starts sweet with caramel and grains and has a slight hop bitterness as well as a bit of warming alcohol.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 pantanap (3153) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 6, 2012
750ml bottle. Courtesy of Wallace... Pours a semi-opaque deeper mahogany hue and topped with a thin soapy film of head... ArOma of rich toffee and caramel with toffee. Heat provided by the barrel, light burnt toasty malt... Flavors are big and very much a continuance of the nose. Rich malty but not too big in terms of body. Somewhat prickly carbonation. Heated and warm. Also consumed and rated at Adams wedding - in front of the camera. Embarrassing.

22 ounce thanks to qspandrew. Oct 2011 bottling. Bottle 142 of 280. Rare Batch # 250. Muddy brown pour. Little head. Caramel and burnt brown sugar. Alcohol in the nose. Vanilla. Coconut. This is likely one I should have shared, but what the hell. I save too many beers and they go unshared these days.

Thanks to starrdogg for sharing this bottle. Served in a snifter.
Pours a moderate brown-caramel color with a thin off-white head and just a few spots of lacing. The nose carries a bit of bourbon and wood with some molasses and toffee-like sweetness in the background. Flavor is similar, though not quite as integrated. The bourbon and backing malt never quite mesh, as the bourbon stands out and the malt is more of just a sweetness to the background. Feel is nice and smooth; very rich. Very good overall.
