2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle: thanks, Tim! Copper body with some amber tones & a slight red-ish tint to it. Not much head at all, only a timid beige skin & collar. Aroma has some mild rye-like harshness, apparent oxidization with light sherry & (unfortunately) cardboard notes, caramel, buttery toffee, & a bit of oak in the back-end. Taste starts with smooth, buttery toffee, caramel, & cocoa dust. Oxidation still present, sadly. Light oak-y bourbon notes in the finish with some sweet toffee & vanilla. Unfortunately, the oxidized notes start to distract after a few sips. I think this would be pretty nice, otherwise, but it is merely an okay brew due to the oxygen downfall.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Poured an amberish color with a small sized off whit head. Caramel, brown sugar, dark fruits, some wood, bourbon, and vanilla. Hot - one of the few Lawson’s beers I would believe is over 10%.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by Kan, thanks! Pours a clear deep amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweetness with grain and cookie with an underlying slight light hop bitterness. Flavor starts sweet with caramel and grains and has a slight hop bitterness as well as a bit of warming alcohol.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750ml bottle. Courtesy of Wallace... Pours a semi-opaque deeper mahogany hue and topped with a thin soapy film of head... ArOma of rich toffee and caramel with toffee. Heat provided by the barrel, light burnt toasty malt... Flavors are big and very much a continuance of the nose. Rich malty but not too big in terms of body. Somewhat prickly carbonation. Heated and warm. Also consumed and rated at Adams wedding - in front of the camera. Embarrassing.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 ounce thanks to qspandrew. Oct 2011 bottling. Bottle 142 of 280. Rare Batch # 250. Muddy brown pour. Little head. Caramel and burnt brown sugar. Alcohol in the nose. Vanilla. Coconut. This is likely one I should have shared, but what the hell. I save too many beers and they go unshared these days.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks to starrdogg for sharing this bottle. Served in a snifter.
Pours a moderate brown-caramel color with a thin off-white head and just a few spots of lacing. The nose carries a bit of bourbon and wood with some molasses and toffee-like sweetness in the background. Flavor is similar, though not quite as integrated. The bourbon and backing malt never quite mesh, as the bourbon stands out and the malt is more of just a sweetness to the background. Feel is nice and smooth; very rich. Very good overall.
