Amber golden, two inch thick white head with a powerful smell of rye. Drank more like an ipa to me than saison due to the hop/ rye ratio. Reminded me of fff rye da tiger a bit. Overall I can take orbit leave it. Don’t have much else to say..

Love this beer. Just a light basementy complex saison with lots of spicyness from rye and hops. Great beer.

on tap at prohibition pig, waterbury. relatively clear pale golden with a decent white head, some retention. breadied malts, medium grainy character, some spices, pepper, ginger, oranges. light to medium hopping - floral-citrusy. average carbonation, light body. refreshing. hoppy saison with not as much grainy character as you would hope.

Really nice beer! Pours brown/orange with a small white covering. Some lacing. Aromas are yeast, cereal, maybe some raisins and definitely a good rye presence. Some spice as well. Mouth is a bit on the light side. Tastes are light sweet and maybe a tiny bit bitter in the end. Pretty good dry finish. Could go through lots of this!

Picked this up at the farmer’s market a few weeks ago. Enjoyed in a Hill Farmstead glass. Almost non-existant head. Dark orange brown appearance. Spicy and wheaty scent. Hints of candied sugar and bready yeast. Delicious. Lots of rye characters, big wheat profile, hints of honey and sugars. Some spice like coriander in here. Dry mouth feel and light body.

The last of the Lawsons bottles I picked up when visiting Warren, VT. This pours a slightly hazy gold color with a thin white head that leaves scattered spotty lacing. The aroma is floral and citrusy initially, but then the Belgian spicy element comes through with some whiffs of grass. There’s a floral and spicy rye flavor profile, with herbal tea, light Belgian yeast, and some citrus hops. Very smooth going down with a finish that’s a touch grainy and thin. This doesn’t really taste like a Saison. Not sure what I’d call it though. A weizen? This was my least favorite of the Lawsons brews I tried but it’s still plenty enjoyable.

Pours clear gold with a medium white head. Aroma has spicy rye and grapefruit...light orange...floral and very fresh! Flavor follows suit...little more citrus and a little less spicyness. Mouthfeel is light/medium and silky with a dry citrus/rye finish.

A hazed blonde ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, nice perfumey malt with clove extracts, orange peels, interesting. in mouth, a nice sweet malt with clove extract, nice and smooth, weizen like. On tap at Reservoir, August 5 2012.

Enjoyed on tap at the Prohibition Pg. White foam on cloudy yellow. A good spiciness, rye edginess, pepper. Very tasty, much flavour for lower abv.
