3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark brackish brown body, traces of an off-white head, and sparse lacing. Maple, boozy bourbon, oak, sticky sweet caramel. Medium bodied, a bit astringent, muddled, not what I was hoping for.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at Franks. Pours a deep murky brown body with no head, thin white lacing. Aroma is sweet maple, bourbon, grains, fruit and rich vanilla. Really nice nose. Mouthfeel is on the lighter, thinner side especially considering the amalgamation of such rich flavors.

Bottle thanks to Clark. Pours a cloudy brown with beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong maple, booze, oak. Medium mouthfeel with sweet maple syrup, oak, and light boozy finish. Good.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle. Pours dark leather brown with creme colored head that lingers. Sweet bourbon aroma over high carbonation. Flavors of toffee and vanilla with a balanced hop finish. A tad bit boozy. This is an outstanding beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
375 ml. bottle from PhillyCraft. Thanks Vin. This pours a deep mahogany color with an orange head. The aroma is very nice with strong maple syrup cut by some bourbon, vanilla, wood and caramel. Some plummy fruit in there as well. The flavor is strong with caramel, vanilla and maple syrup. The body is substantial, but not cloying. Maybe some background plums and raisins before a slight alcohol burn. It has some wood and more maple in the finish. I think they made a good choice cutting this with some fresh beer, as it keeps the intense flavors in check and smooths out the alcohol and body. A really nice fireside warmer.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
375 ml red-waxed bottle. Pours a great translucent ruby mahogany color with 1-finger tan head that laces well. Nose is woody oak, maple, malt. Smells great. Tastes malty, with a heavy oaky flavor, subtle maple enhancer flavor, and a rich and smooth finish. This one is stellar.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle shared with Brian, pours purple brown with light off white head. Aromas and flavor are maple, banana creme pie, vanilla, oak, bourbon, scotch and malt. Really rich in flavor but body is lighter and easy to get down. This one is so much better than regular nipple.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared by Lunch. Thanks Paul.
The beer is amber hued with a small, off-white head. Lots of booze in the aroma. Bourbon, oak, maple syrup, malt. The flavor brings ample maple character. Again, lots of booze presence. Sweet and indeed sticky on the palate. Aptly named. Another beer that is best in small samples.

Bottle. Thanks to the courtesy of strangers. Amber pour with tan head. Maple and light oak with bourbon overtones in the nose. Bourbon, maple and sweetness on the tongue. Very nice.
