2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
[Bottle, thanks Skyview] Pours pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is really odd, made me think of sourdough bread. Taste is lightly sour at first, then very bready and fairly sweet. Mediu mouthfeel with a long finish. I didnít think this was very good, but I didnít hate it as much as some of the others did at the tasting.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Bitter malt aroma. Flavor has light malt, mold, and cardboard. It doesnít have any ale character and I thought it was a lager. Undrinkable.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Sampled at OSLOís tasting
Biscuit and cardboard aroma. Buttery. Tastes like a stronger version of Fat Tire. I would have trouble putting down a whole bottle of this. Forgetable.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Small sample at OSLO and Guerdeís tasting on Friday, 5-23-08. Pours a cool, hazy, dark gold. Very good, cream-like, floral aroma of buttered wheat biscuit and vanilla, as if it had been aged in a bourbon barrel. Flavors of biscuit and green apple. The taste is sweet, perhaps a bit too sweet. Medium body. I was one of the only people at the tasting who liked this beer.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
OSLO and Guerdeís Memorial Weekend Tasting, 5/23/08. Courtesy of Skyview. Gold color with no head. Sweet caramel aroma, biscut and a bit of wet cardboard. Lots of butterscotch taste. Sweet malt backing, but not much else.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
(bottle thanks Skyview!) Aroma is first, very offensive, with a musty off smell. Aroma rounds after warming with some bread and caramel. Taste is really weak, with some caramel, fruit, and thatís about it. Thin mouthfeel.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAY 26, 2008 Sampled at OSLO/Guerdeís Memorial Day tasting. Received 22-oz bomber via trade with 5000. Pours a semi-clear golden amber brew with a creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates to a thin film and white ring. Aroma of wheat biscuits that reminds me of Triscuit crackers, some butter, and a touch of yeast. Taste is slightly metallic, medium bodied, some carbonation with a biscuit and yeast flavor. Finish is s little flat, metallic with a mild yeast aftertaste.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours nice butterscotch color with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Scent is of wheat and yeast, with light fruit notes. Bread flavors with an alcohol background. Lightly bitter, but mostly dry finish keeps the drinkability to average.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber from Liquid Solutions. Rather different, almost soapy, aroma. White head didnít last long. Brilliant copper color. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is spicey. Seems to be a bit of candi, and, yes, I agree thereís a touch of n-amyl acetate. Nice touch of bitter hop. No question that itís in style. Itís just rather different. Considering how diverse the Belgians are, thereís room for this. Finish is mildly sweet, starts to show some heat, and a bit of floral hop. A peppery, but low key, spice note is still present. Pretty good, but not so tasty as Iíd prefer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden orange color, thin to no white head, not cloudy!?! Whereís the yeast?!? Smells like abbey ale yeast, ripe bananas and sweet malts, sweet caramel flavor, butter toffee, slight tart finish, mild malt finish, this is a good well balanced ale, canít hold a candle to most belgians though, but this is a very worthwhile brew for a belgian from the northwest! tastey and warming
