Pours amber color with white head that fades rather quickly. Smells of malt sugar and fruit. Tastes a bit like cotton candy and spice. Slides right down the hatch. It would be easy to down several bombers of this stuff.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cletus (6187) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 14, 2008
Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells of bananas, sugar, hay, some fruit. Tastes mildly bitter with some complimentary dry malt. Not the best BSA I’ve had but worth the try.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 HughConway (658) - Washington, USA - FEB 29, 2008
Bottle. Nice golden color, thin coarse white head. Nose has a bit too much alcohol. Bit thin on the body, doesn’t really hide the alcohol. Overall not bad, not great.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 after4ever (5356) - Brier, Washington, USA - FEB 23, 2008
22. Pours a beautifully goldened medium amber, crystal clear, big fizzy white head that settles to woolly film. Intermittent stringy lace. Big sweet green apple nose, but seems like there’s a promise of crispness behind it. Floral and sugar notes there as well. Medium, slightly fizzy body. Even a bit creamy. The apples, sugar, and and florals come back for the mid-palate, and it does have a nice crispness to it. Mild sweet finish. This is a bit of a surprise because this guy’s not been perfect out of the gate--this, though, shows real promise.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 brewandbbq (269) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 7, 2008
Pours clear gold with a slight haze.
A white two inch froth swelled up with a moderate pour.
The foam settled after the first few sips and left behind a myriad of lacing.
Aromatics are on-spot for a belgian golden.
Light malt with fruity esters, clovey phenols, and a little spicy.
An American slant steps forward with some additional tropical hops. Peaches, tangerines, and grassy undertones. Subdued, but they are there, along with a crisp mineral note.
Mouthfeel is medium and somewhat crisp. Not quite as creamy or effervescent as would expected from the style.
The pallet is very fruity and pretty hoppy.
Mangos, peaches, and citrus oil ride atop the light malt base.
Bitterness is firm and substantial for the style.
Alcohol is present but not offensive.
A nice belgian with plenty of Pacific northwest flair.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 CapFlu (4023) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 7, 2008
(22oz bottle) Purchased from Bottleworks in Seattle for $4.99. Pours a lasting medium foamy white head with an orange amber body. Nose is somewhat malty with a mild corn. Strange malt liquor and Belgian yeast flavour. Average.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Angeloregon (2055) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 17, 2007
UPDATED: JAN 5, 2008 Thanks to Shawn for this taste and his generosity when we showed up at his brewery unexpectedly. Poured on tap into a glass a deep copper-gold hue. Slightly hazy with a medium-sized dark white head and good lacing. Bready, hoppy, yeasty nose. Malty chewy mouth feel, quite smooth. Warm and mildly boozy, but overall, the alcohol is well masked. This is a hybird of styles and I liked it a lot!
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 5000 (5000) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 9, 2007
Bottle : Darker golden in color, a little haze, moderate fizzy off-white head, falls quickly, leaving hardly any lacing.   After
a few minutes this one appears still.   Bready nose, minor floral and honeysuckle melon like tinge.   Sweet matly belgianesque
flavors on the tongue.   Certainly comes across as an Americanized version of a Belgian.   This one is actually fairly sweet, and
alcohol is noticeable.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Warming finish, malty, even a bit bready.   Finish is slightly
spicy.   Decent example, but not all that Belgian like.   Enjoyable to drink, thats for sure.   Moreso American like than
Belgian, but I guess that is likely to be expected.   Worth a try.
