islay (409), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA May 27, 2008 Small sample at OSLO and Guerde’s tasting on Friday, 5-23-08. Pours a cool, hazy, dark gold. Very good, cream-like, floral aroma of buttered wheat biscuit and vanilla, as if it had been aged in a bourbon barrel. Flavors of biscuit and green apple. The taste is sweet, perhaps a bit too sweet. Medium body. I was one of the only people at the tasting who liked this beer.
