3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz bought in Salem,OR. Says 6.2% alc on label.
Dark burnt orahge in colour and hazy, with a huge light tan head.
Spicy red grapefruit aroma, brown sugar and slightly spicy
Very nice bitter-sweet flavour profile. Good "nippy" grapefruit hoppiness, followed by a semi-sweet malt which is quite strong for an IPA semi-bitter/sour finish though it lasts
I found this quite balanced and it felt good on the palate.
Overall a nice middle of the road ( for PNW) IPA, well drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
9/8/07 From 22 oz bottle. Aroma is hop forward with grass, some earthy noble hops and very light citrus. Appearance is hazy with a moderate head. Flavor is hop forward as well with the same profile as the aroma and very low malt balance. Balance is medium bodied with medium carb feel and sweet citrus finish. Overall, not too smooth. There are a lot of good flavors here; they’re just not well blended.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Floral IPA, bit citrus hops with a grapefruit finish. The toasty malts work to not get lost in the hops, this has more malt character then many NW IPAs. Pours dark amber with a hearty beige head. Very solid on the palate, like the guy on the lable, there is no thinness to this one.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours smooth with a light frothy head. Copper in color and slightly hazy. The aroma is floral and resin. Lively, sour body fitting for a IPA. Excellent.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Great all around IPA with a warm meadow kind of hop bouquet. The sharp bitterness is quickly met by the solid malt backbone and they ride off together in harmony.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 oz bomber from bottletrek.com. Gotta tell ya, I think this is underated. This is an excellent NW IPA. Pours a clear amber, big citrus and hop nose. Flavor is citrus (grapefruit) with a nice balance of malt background. Long hop finish, yet subtle. Medium mouthfeel, slightly oily. Nice alcohol warmth. Definitely a session and a winner by....who?? I can’t wait to try their other styles.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: SEP 25, 2007 Bottle: Pours a red pinkish clear amber, looks like juice with a big white head. Slightly malty aroma with lots of citrus hop. Flavor is pretty malty and semi sweet, moderate hop bitterness, definitely a lot of citrus hop flavor. More malty than most ipa’s. Very balanced bitterness not too much hops. Crisp finish

Copper in color, hoppy, and caramel malty-ness compliment each other good. Smooth beer, Ive had a few since this rating. 22 ouncer. I found this beer refreshing and sessionable. Very decent.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
On draught. Pours a transparent, deep bronzey amber color with an even layer of well sustaining foam. Sweet aroma of green raisin fruits, dark bread, and a hint of grassy hops. Full bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel. Far too heavy and underattenuated to be refreshing or thirst quenching. Flavors of brown sugar, gently toasted malts, and a smack of grassy hops with moderate bitterness. Everything is clean, but it’s simply too heavy to be a sessionable or refreshing example of the style.
