On the aroma scale, this gets points knocked off because for some reason, mine had a strong mildew-ish smell. Not sure where that came from, because the beer wasn’t bad and hadn’t turned. Flavor was strong PCNW hops - I swear East Coast, West Coast, Northwest and Midwest IPA’s should each be their own styles - this is a classic example of a Northwest IPA. Strong in malt, but not overly sweet. A pleasant yeast flavor that isn’t in the West Coast varieties. Finishing on a bitter, but pleasant note. I get the full pine and citrus bouquet with this IPA.

Tap... Amber with a thin white head. Floral hops on the nose. Very sharp, crisp and dry. Fruity hops and caramel flavors. Little of a alcohol kick to it.

First time I tried this I was happy with it. Smooth, citrus flavor normal IPA. Amber cloudy smooth weak head. Nothing to retain. The second time I noticed a bland flavor like a bad resin in the hop almost like drinking tap water that’s been sitting out for a couple days. It was still very balanced with a mild pine and medium carbonation. I still enjoy it for an occasional brew, but that one brew threw me off.

Grapefruit and lemongrass citrus dominate with an extremely floral hop base. Soft pine resin notes go well with a caramel malt that balances the astringent, moderate (for the PNW IPA hophead style, anyways) bitter hop finish. Good example of this drink, very textbook, lacks any pizazz to differentiate from the pack, but regardless it will not dissapoint.

This IPA pours a medium brown color. Small sized white fluffy head. Aroma is floral hops and citrusy. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are caramel and fruity. The hops are grapefruity and floral. Nice balance, especially for a Pac NW IPA. Slightly sweet with a lot of citrusy hop bitterness. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

A really nice and suprising beer. I’d never heard of these guys and someone at our last tasting brings this out and wow. Really tasty. Huge citrus hop nose with tangerine, and an overall floral character that was really intruiging. Appearance was a nice deep amber color and a two finger thick white fluffy head. Flavors I could pick up were biscuity malts up front and then the sharp citric hops take over and then it all comes together nicely on the end. I could get some clear lemony twang all thru the beer as well. Really interesting beer.

bottle, from trade with 5000. Ok aroma, citrus, grapefruit & orange. cardboard & paper, seltzer, pine. Not very strong though. Cloudy brownish orange color, Good head and lacing, head was around most of the way with big splotchy lacing. Bittersweet flavor, not one to get excited about, not particularly bitter or sweet, kind of dull actually. Medium to thick body, creamy smooth mouthfeel, bitterdry finish. Well, maybe it was my bottle, but I didn’t like this one that much, dumped the last bit out rather than finish it off.

Pine and floral aromas. Decent amber color with a rather weak white head. Full bodied with fairly mild carbonation. Flavor is lots of hop (could be resin and citrus) and some roasted malt that is a bit overwhelmed by the hop (good thing, that). Finish is pretty dry, pretty hoppy, and really tasty.

Wife got this bomber for me a Christmas gift. Well sat in the lazy boy chair and cracked this one open. Aroma was floral and pine. Orange body with off white head with ring od lacing left on top of pint glass. Flavor had more of a sweet sugary and malt backbone with a good dry hop bitterness in the mix. Not as cool and crisp as I like em’ to be but a good brew.
