Foxbush (360), Richmond, Virginia, USA Oct 14, 2007 Updated: Nov 23, 2007 This and other beers were tasted at the Mellow Mushroom in Ocean Springs, MS. They state that have fifty beers to try. This a local beer and they had 4 on tap. The Amber Jacques was the best. I had two pints The head was a frothy white with a clear amber color. The caramel flavors were evident with a nice balance of hops and malts. It was not quite medium in body. It is smooth beer with a clean finish.

BeerandBlues2 (2630), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA May 11, 2007 Draught at Mellow Mushroom - Ocean Springs, MS. Pours clear amber with an average frothy white mostly diminishing head, fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (caramel, grain, nutty), average hops (flowers, pine), light yeast (sweat) with notes of vegetable. Light bodied, oily texture, average carbonation and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness. Hinez57 (121), Clinton, Mississippi, USA May 4, 2007 On tap @ Hal&Mal’s A really odd I assume rye aroma is kind of nice, definatly unique. Nice amber appearance with short lived cream colored head. The uniqueness of this brew hits you right away. The rye comes through nicely, has an odd mediterranian bread taste too it. Don’t know where it comes from, but I picked up a mild mixture of bread and herbs. Fairly thin palate with nice bittering that works well for this flavor profile. Overall drinkable, fairly unique, I’ll have it again. jodyperkins (67), Mississippi, USA Apr 7, 2007 On tap at the Mellow Mushroom in Flowood, MS. Nice aroma, not much of a head. Nice amber color. Great flavor, not as strong as the southern pecan but very tasty.
