Pours black with a small tan head that lasts throughout. Aroma purely consists of roasted malt; coffee, dark chocolate and nuts. Tastes are more of the same. Silky body with a bitter chocolaty finish. A very nice, elegant beer. I’ve come to learn that dark beers are Lazy Magnolia’s specialty.

Born on 12/18/13 Dark in the glass with a nice beige head. Nutty-malty and roasted nose. The beer starts intense malty, roasted. Not too viscous and due to the slightly stout-sourness still easy to drink. The aftertaste is long, intense malty, roasted with nutty hints. Very nice. Coffee, roasted bread.
A very nice and deep-in-flavour beer. I like it as it is dry with subtle hints of malty sweetness. --> 13/13/14/13

Opaque black with a burnt meringue head and a sweet, black coffee nose. Easy intro with a mildly-carbonated mouthfeel followed by a bold coffee, dark chocolate finish.

1/24/14. 12oz bottle while in Destin, probably picked up from Chan’s or Beach’s. Black pour with a small tan head. Rich roasted aroma, ashy malts, coffee, a touch of dark chocolate and caramel. Rich flavor, roasted malts prevalent once again, ashy, burnt coffee, some chocolate and caramel, mild acidity. Diggin’ it.

12 oz. bottle given to be by a friend on her return trip from New Orleans. Thanks Ashley! Snifter shows opaque black with a thin right of off white head. Nose is complex malt giving aromas of milk chocolate, molasses and burnt barley. Flavor is nice nuances of charred malt, day old coffee dregs, light dark fruits with a bitter-chocolate finish. I say bitter chocolate because I don’t detect hops. But it is much needed for balance. Body is medium with a lingering roasted malt finish. 8.5 % ABV is totally masked. Overall this is a nice offering from Lazy Magnolia and it’s an easy drinking Impy Stout.

Black pour. Medium-sized tan head that lasts a good bit. Plenty of lacing. Slight vegetal aroma with some chocolate and malt. Caramel and malt taste. Not much else. Sweet and watery finish.

Lazy Magnolia Black Creek has a thin, beige head, and an extremely dark-brown, almost black appearance, with almost no lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, dark-roasted barley malt, coffee hints, chocolate hints, and brown bread crust. Taste is of sweetness, char, dark malt, some cherry, vegetable, cream, and a low hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is thick and syrupy, and Lazy Magnolia Black Creek finishes semi-dry, powdery, easy drinking, and not the least bit alcohilic. Overall, this is an outstanding beer! RJT

Luscious, rich and creamy. Lovely chocolate and coffee highlights. Tantalizing aroma. Perfect winter brew.
