Very good, seasonal beer. Dark and, I would say, almost creamy. Thick and lush with a great head. Definitely malty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Spacebar. Poured a near pitch black, maybe dark cola color with a small creamy tan head. Roasted malts, light dark chocolate, touch of bitter coffee. Light roasted sweetness. Medium mouthfeel. Not bad.

Bottle->snifter. Black with bare tan head. A: roasted malt, chocolate, coffee. T: same, with molasses and a medicinal berry note coming on. Thin and odd.

Pours coffee black with a slightly tan head, Smell is yeasty with some roasty notes. For an imperial stout it lacks the intensity that i usually look for, More of a stout imo, Roasted coffee notes with some bitterness and a chocolate texture, Decent.

On draft at Spacebar in Falls Church. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of toasted hazelnuts. Flavors of tobacco and mixed nuts. Bitter roast finish.

On tap at spacebar it is a dark brown with a slight head. The aroma is coffee and the taste is strong coffee with a bitter after taste that morphs into black licorice

Not getting the metallic flavor mentioned in a couple of recent reviews at all. What I do get is softness. Soft mouthfeel. Soft roastiness in the aroma and flavor. Itís a big beer, but not a brash beer. Pretty tasty, actually.

Color is a dark ebony, with little to no head. It certainly smells like a stout. However, the taste is where it loses me. Some sort of metallic taste in the finish of this one. Thank God itís a seasonal.

Ahh a beer from mississippii.... Ugh..... Mississippi.... Aroma is metal like. Much like a porter. Roasty.... A bit Appearance is solid brown. Head is minimal Taste is... Well... It tastes just like a porter. Like a solid porter. But missing the sweet notes and easy going nature of a stout. Palate is medium body. Smooth bubbles. Overall not a bad beer.... But itís like a porter.... Check this out if you like those. But misses the mark on imperial stout.

Dark brown to black pour with an off-white head. The aroma is full of chocolate with a bit of roasted malt thrown in. The flavor is very similar. There is a lot of chocolate and roasted malt as well as some cream. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very nice Imperial Stout. Really starting to like what I drink from Lazy Magnolia.
