3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours black with a small tan head that lasts throughout. Aroma purely consists of roasted malt; coffee, dark chocolate and nuts. Tastes are more of the same. Silky body with a bitter chocolaty finish. A very nice, elegant beer. I’ve come to learn that dark beers are Lazy Magnolia’s specialty.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Not getting the metallic flavor mentioned in a couple of recent reviews at all. What I do get is softness. Soft mouthfeel. Soft roastiness in the aroma and flavor. It’s a big beer, but not a brash beer. Pretty tasty, actually.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Color is a dark ebony, with little to no head. It certainly smells like a stout. However, the taste is where it loses me. Some sort of metallic taste in the finish of this one. Thank God it’s a seasonal.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Ahh a beer from mississippii.... Ugh..... Mississippi....
Aroma is metal like. Much like a porter. Roasty.... A bit
Appearance is solid brown. Head is minimal
Taste is... Well... It tastes just like a porter. Like a solid porter. But missing the sweet notes and easy going nature of a stout.
Palate is medium body. Smooth bubbles.
Overall not a bad beer.... But it’s like a porter.... Check this out if you like those. But misses the mark on imperial stout.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown to black pour with an off-white head. The aroma is full of chocolate with a bit of roasted malt thrown in. The flavor is very similar. There is a lot of chocolate and roasted malt as well as some cream. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very nice Imperial Stout. Really starting to like what I drink from Lazy Magnolia.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Born on 12/18/13 Dark in the glass with a nice beige head. Nutty-malty and roasted nose. The beer starts intense malty, roasted. Not too viscous and due to the slightly stout-sourness still easy to drink. The aftertaste is long, intense malty, roasted with nutty hints. Very nice. Coffee, roasted bread.
A very nice and deep-in-flavour beer. I like it as it is dry with subtle hints of malty sweetness. --> 13/13/14/13

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Opaque black with a burnt meringue head and a sweet, black coffee nose. Easy intro with a mildly-carbonated mouthfeel followed by a bold coffee, dark chocolate finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
1/24/14. 12oz bottle while in Destin, probably picked up from Chan’s or Beach’s. Black pour with a small tan head. Rich roasted aroma, ashy malts, coffee, a touch of dark chocolate and caramel. Rich flavor, roasted malts prevalent once again, ashy, burnt coffee, some chocolate and caramel, mild acidity. Diggin’ it.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle given to be by a friend on her return trip from New Orleans. Thanks Ashley! Snifter shows opaque black with a thin right of off white head. Nose is complex malt giving aromas of milk chocolate, molasses and burnt barley. Flavor is nice nuances of charred malt, day old coffee dregs, light dark fruits with a bitter-chocolate finish. I say bitter chocolate because I don’t detect hops. But it is much needed for balance. Body is medium with a lingering roasted malt finish. 8.5 % ABV is totally masked. Overall this is a nice offering from Lazy Magnolia and it’s an easy drinking Impy Stout.
