jodyperkins (67), Mississippi, USA Jun 25, 2007 Let me preface this by saying I"m not a fan of the German-style wheat beers but this was the most palatable of the few I’ve had.
Poured from the tap. Nice light color, aroma was fruity. Definetly had the twangy banana/citrus flavor going on.
Not bad - but definetly my least favorite beer from Lazy Magnolia - but the best wheat I’ve had so far...
mhelgason (443), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA Aug 5, 2008 Tap at The Bulldog in Jackon, MS. Puny head into clear copper body. aromas of light bubble gum yeast and a touch of hops with some spices. flavor is initiallay bittersweet but finishes bitter. moderate finish duration. flat carbonation. Not bad brew for MS. garmonbozia (147), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Jun 11, 2008 Lazy Mag brepub in the Gulfport/Biloxi airport while waiting to head back to the great sands of Iraq. Clear color with small head. Had the same sweet smell and taste the Lazy Mag is famous for. Taste was of wheat and spices. I guess the glass was to cold to notice any lacing. I wish LM would bottle more than just the Southern Pecan, but this wasn’t bad. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 03/23/2005

amber, good sweet carmel malt flavor, enough hops to keep it balanced, light bitterness in the finish, nice heft character

Dansting (222), Overland Park, Kansas, USA Jun 27, 2007 From a Party Pig brought to me by a friend’s mom who is from Mississippi. Poured a clear golden color with a light white head. No lacing. Aroma of clove. Nice mouthfeel. Flavor was different for me. It had both citrus and banana flavor to it, which I wasn’t expecting (I didn’t know the style before I drank it and don’t think I had a krystal weizen before). This was okay, I guess. I would drink this if offered, but nothing I would go to Mississippi to try.
