Ginger Jaque, the second release in Lazy Magnolia’s Brewer’s Choice Series, invokes the likeness of one of our premier international award winning amber rye ales (AmberJaque) spiced with a bold zest of ginger. Brewed with carefully selected rye grains, traditional malts and hops, drinkers experience a heavy aroma of sweet ginger on the nose accompanied by a spiced rye finish. If you should find yourself amongst friends one chilly winters eve, this brew will undoubtedly prove a warm and inspiring companion.

Growler, purchased @ Pop’s, Suwanee. Pours a deep amber color, light tan head. Aroma of spicy, gourmet, Ginger Snap cookies. Sweet and very spicy ginger all through the nose. Caramel flavor, tingle of rye malts, floral sweetness of ginger. Very mild. Overall, earthy character. Nice bitterness balanced with the loads of spice. Finishes dry with a long peppery tingle on the tongue.

Growler from dcschiller. Clear apricot color. Aroma is loaded with great ginger and malt. Flavor had a huge ginger flavor without the common burning that ginger beers commonly have. Very nice.

Nice orangish color. Nice hoppy, spice taste. Very thin mouthfeel. Detected ginger a bit, but not too much. Very refreshing and clean finish.

Ginger is one of my favorite flavors, so I was excited to try this beer. You can faintly smell and taste the ginger in this beer. Yes!

Tons of Ginger on the nose and tongue, but still light and very drinkable, sessionable beer. the body is thick pale malt, some sweetness, cereals, but the ginger really excites me. It tastes fresh and not overpowering so much as to ruin your palate. On tap at the 12 South Winter Warmer beer festival in Nashville, TN.

Growler pours courtesy of dcschiller, thanks Dave. Pours somewhat opaque copper to gold with off white head. The aroma has pretty smooth ginger bready notes as well as a bit of sweet crystal malts in the background. The taste has malt sweetened smooth ginger that rolls toward less sweet malts and slightly brighter and bigger ginger notes to midway and into the finish. I’m not a big fan of ginger enhanced foods or drinks but I’m liking this just fine.

Draught, Avenue Pub. Amber and bright. Smells quite gingery. Light ginger and toasty malt character. Rye finish. Good brew - it works.
