Growler at the 2010 March Metro Detroit tasting. Poured a dark brown with a red hue with a small grayish brown head. Aroma had dark malts with some notes of dark dough and some hay. Flavor had a flavor of mainly dark malts with a touch of earthiness.

Faint cocoa and roasted coffee evident in the nose and flavor. Thin and watery...nothing robust about this at all but would be decently sessionable.

(Growler) Pours a mahogany body with a medium beige head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, nuts, and light roastiness. Flavor of caramel, nuts, chocolate, roasted malt, and light coffee.

Clear light brown color/ tan head. Mild chocolate, coffee aromas. Thin chocolate, coffee, nutty flavors.

Growler via trade with garmonbozia - Pours a clear light brown color with a small light tan head that faded quickly. Light spotty lacing. Aroma is caramel malt. Flavor is caramel malt and chocolate. Light to medium body. A nice beer. Thanks Kyle.

RBWG 2010. Pours reddish brown color with off white head. Lightly roasted malt aroma. Roasted malt and chocolate flavors with some ashyness. Light to medium body with mild carbonation.

RBWG@RLRL-growler-pours a tan head and dark with red color. Aroma is dark malt-cocoa/roasty. Taste is dark malt-cocoa/roasty, ashy, some earthy hops.

Brown pour, light head. Roasty and light chocolate aroma. Flavor is much the same. Good but not world class. Still a drinkable porter.

Growler courtesy of The Cheeseman in the mystery swap. Pours a clear ruby hued brown with a medium sized tanned beige head. Caramel, a bit of toast. Pretty empty overall, not offensive or anything but just lacking so much that makes a good porter, well…good. Finishes with more watered down roast flavors and caramel. Mediocre. But, my first Mississippi beer.
