COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Indian Summer is a light profile American-style wheat ale spiced with Orange Peel and Coriander. Our recipe uses a mix of wheat and pale barley. This beer is very lightly hopped to allow the spices to shine through. Clean fermenting yeast produce a very dry, crisp base to further accentuate the spices. The aroma has a distinct citrus note without being overly fruity.

Sample. Hazy golden color, medium off white head. Aroma of citrus bubblegum. Taste is sour grapefruit. Too sour.

The nose on this beer is all coriander, and the taste isnít very different. Slight undertones of Orange zest, surprisingly un-hoppy. Iím sure this would be very good on a hot day, but I can think of a number of beers Iíd grab first in the event of the inevitable Texas heatwave.

Hazy golden pour into pint glass. Really get the citrus notes. Resfreshing taste and nice finish. Not really getting the coriander. Too much other things going on with this one. Would def drink again. Not sure where it came from but should ask since it was a gift.

12 oz bottle from a BA trade from backlog notes. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have wheat malts, quite a bit of spices favoring cloves and coriander, some orange citrus, thin body, worth trying once.

Pour is a hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is faint citrus and not much after that. Flavor is again a very faint citrus with almost no what malt to back it up. This is watery and almost flavorless.

12 oz. bottle served in pint glass. A bit past date on bottle. (from 2011 notes) A - hazy light golden with 1 finger of thick white head; exceptional retention Aroma - rather unpleasant sour smell T - Pils malt with mix(?) of spices, including coriander; some citrus flavor. Medium/light flavor is much better than aroma indicates, but too sour and with unfortunate flavor mixture. Decent finish. M - a bit crisp and a little astringent. Medium carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of earthy wheat with some light notes of citrus rind and a bit of light spice. Flavor has earthy wheat and a bit of a cookie note with some light spice and just a hint of citrus.

Served on tap in a pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold with no head or lacing whatsoever. Not a good start. There are some hints of light orange peel and coriander in the aroma but light is the key word here. Not very exciting at all. The flavor continues the trend of light flavors with a bit of caramel from the malt along with more orange and a bit of a bready yeasty note. Mouthfeel is extremely watery and light with just the least bit of bitterness. Overall, I am disappointed with this one. Everything about it is light and a bit boring.

Draft pour. Pours a somewhat hazy gold with a white head of foam. The aroma is grassy, vegetal, and wheaty. The taste is more on the sweet side. Fairly bready taste. The mouthfeel is light and spritzy. Medium to high carbontation.
