jodyperkins (67), Mississippi, USA Jun 25, 2007 The folks at Lazy Mag really talked this beer up but I was afraid to try it due to my general dislike of wheat beer. This isn’t your typical "wheat". I drank several pints of this and my wife, who is not a beer person really liked this beer.
Poured from the tap at Trapani’s Eatery in Bay St. Louis (and from Jack’s in the Bay and from the Mellow Mushroom in Ocean Springs). Pours clear and golden. Definite citrus aroma. Has a great flavor - sweet and citrusy - not much of the spice noticable.
The beer is definetly filtered - I toured Lazy Mag prior to trying this beer. Currently all of their beers are filtered.
This beer was formerly their summer seasonal but the popularity was so high they brew it year round now!
mhelgason (448), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA Aug 5, 2008 Tap at The Bulldog in MS. small mostly dissapating white creamy head into clear godlen body. aromas of moderate corriander and orange peel with some light hops also present. flavor is initially sweet but finishes lightly bitter. moderate finish duration. dry texture. Okay wheat. Hinez57 (121), Clinton, Mississippi, USA Jul 10, 2008 Light malt with a hint of sour/tartness in the aroma. Very full flavor for a wheat bier. Hints of spice complimented by a perfectly balanced whear and barley grain bill. Fairly good mouthfeel, is somewhat thin but very smooth. Perfect summer quencher! Thanks Lazy Mag! brianprentiss (416), Mountain View, California, USA Jul 1, 2008 Stinking great Wheat ale. The spices are perfect and the result is refreshing and fun. Much like Blue Moon but slightly better.
On tap at Gulfport Airport. jzzbassman (693), New Albany, Mississippi, USA Jun 24, 2008 Party Pig. Pours a hazy old gold color with a white head that quickly fades to a white ring. Aroma is maltier than the actual flavor. Has a odd corn like flavor, but finishes sweet. Ty5592 (1009), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 4, 2008 22oz hand bottle from Hopdog. Light hazy orange color with nice medium sized head. You could tell this was hand bottled the proper way. Light maltynutty aroma. The taste was the same with light sweetness and mild nutty finish.
