3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Says this is a Winter Seasonal, but it was available at the Owl Cafe Tap Room in the middle of summer. Not sure what, if any, effect this had on the beer. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Thin smell of coffee matches well with rather thin flavor. Seemed a touch thin and bubbly for style. One and done forever. Draft - Owl Cafe Tap Room - Apalachicola, FL

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a pure black color with a medium light brown head. A sweet nose of roast and lactose. The flavor is well done with light sweet roast, milky, some dark fruit, dusty dry potatoes, minerals. Really a lot of coal and minerals. Nice brew! Enjoyable.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
Just poured out of the glass. It’s pitch black with a thin head. Looks rather heavy, like dark italian or french roasted java. It smells like black eyed peas, i actually smell sweet potato, and ground coffee...dare I say asparagus? Taste is where this beer is now leaving me behind. It’s like bland sweet potatoes and cold black coffee brewed with mineral water. It smells interesting, looks great and has a wonderful full bodied feeling in your mouth but the taste is just not for me. I can imagine many people liking this but the taste isn’t for me. Regardless of my disappointment, it’s a well made beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deeply black with a dark brown hue. An almost sour roastiness - dark dried fruit, fig, plum. The flavor is embodied by aggressive roast on a chalky tart delivery. A decent novelty that had me thinking of gently sour porters. Of course, this may not have been intended.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Odd very thing and watery stout. Pours a brownish translucence and the flavor follows suit. Tastes watered down with no differentiating elements of sweet potato.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the Sybarite Pig in Boca Raton, FL. Tulip. Very dark, nearly black pour and mostly opaque. Off-white tan head of two fingers. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, cocoa and vanilla. Taste was rather simple with coffee bitterness, chocolate notes, little dark fruit and a very dry finish. I was expecting a little bit more out of it. Mouth was also pretty carbonated compared to other stouts.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A bit more bland than I would’ve thought and I’m not sure what the sweet potato added to this. Nice mouthfeel, though, very creamy. Josh brought this one back with him from Mississippi in 2013.

on draft at husk brewing, just an ashy thin weak stout, not sweet really at all, very plain and cheap tasting.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance dark brown with a slight tan head. Aroma of a stout very little on the node. Taste bitter with coffee overtones lingers on the palate
