Lazy Saison is a cultivated, refreshing Belgian-style ale, complex in style with a mix of fruity aroma, earthy body and a hint of spiciness.

Bottle at home. Pours clear gold with a large, creamy white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is fruity esters of apple and pear, black pepper, ginger, cereal and biscuit malt. Flavor is moderate Belgian yeast esters and spices with crisp malt and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass a yellow straw color with a thick white head. Aroma is lemony barnyard. Flavor is tart, lemon, bready malt, mild Belgium funk. Absolutely no indication of this being an almost 9% brew. Super high carbonation and a skunkiness in the finish. An ok brew considering is a Saison from Mississippi.

Hmm, not bad! Peppery, a little funky, bread and a little fruit. No sign of the nearly 9% abv.

bottle. Hazy golden with one finger head. Light sweetness with some citrus fruit and medium belgian spicing. Really nice yeast. Quite flavorful. No idea it was so high ABV.

Pours mostly clear light golden, lots of things floating, almost no head, thin lacing. Aroma phenolic, mostly clove, slight bubblegum coriander, lemon grass. Taste spicy corriander, clove, lemongrass, slightly tart and sweet. Mouthfeel thinish body, medium carbonation, spice bite, dry finish. Overall pleasant saison, very drinkable, nice balance of flavors.

Golden with a thick head and a peppery, hoppy nose. Mildly-carbonated with finishing notes of honey and butterscotch with a sticky, lasting aftertaste.

Highly carbonated golden pour. Big soapy white head that falls quickly. Little bit of lacing. Spicy lemon aroma with hints of corn. Carbonic bite up front with some notes of lemon.

Tap at Old Texas. Pours a clear golden color with light carbonation. Aroma is slightly sweet, a but funky with some big floral notes. Some zest on the nose. Flavor is zesty, spice with a peppery touch. Some funky notes, with a dry finish. I like this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow body under a one finger fizzy white head. The nose is pretty decent, slightly earthy with some wheat and a nice yeastiness. The flavor is rather spicy, there’s more than just the yeast doing things in here. A little overly spiced for my tastes, but the yeast and wheat portions are pretty decent. Light bodied and very fizzy with a lingering spicy finish. This one just isn’t my type of Saison.

Lazy Magnolia Lazy Saison has a medium, white head, a clear, bubbly, burnished gold appearance, and a thin lace curtain left behind. The aroma is of bready grain and herbs. Taste is of those things, with some yeast and mild hop bitterness riding along. There is also some cream of wheat in there. Mouthfeel is medium and somewhat slick, and Lazy Magnolia Lazy Saison finishes dry, easy drinking, and only the slightest bit alcohilic. RJT
