3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Rated as "Deep South Pale Ale" with 5.3%.
The beer is golden in the glass, malty-floral in the nose. In the beginning this beer is quite dry and bitter. Nicely hopped and not too sweet. The mainpart is smooth, sharp-hoppy and dry-malty. The aftertaste has a little sweetness, nice dry malty-hoppy ending.
A nice dry Pale Ale. --> 10/12/11/11

A very clear amber with a persistent white foam. Pleasant hop aroma of light citrus, some floral. Light body has a high bitterness. Nutty malt base is overshadowed with dry hop bitterness lasting well into the finish.

This is my everyday - go to - have a few - ale. Light hay aroma with a pale near amber appearance. Refreshing light bitter taste. Very well balanced. Lively carbonation with a mildly bitter finish. Yum - poor me another right now!

Bottle from Five points with Linh and Duffy. Pours a clear amber copper body with no head, some light white lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel and spicy malt. Mouthfeel is super spicy, lots of caramel and biscuity malts. No thanks.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
thanks to beerindex for this in my the junk BIF
A: Pours a honey gold ale with excellent clarity and lies beneath a two finger, peanut head with good density. This falls over the coarse of a few minutes and leaves a thick sheet of the same. Sheety lacing. Nice.
S: Smells like buttered emesis. Some sweet feel to the mid point, but the most dominant thing to me is the reminiscence to emesis.
T: Medium floral over a malted body. Light malts with a slight metallic and woody flavor at the ends.
M: Medium body, medium to hi carb. Plenty slimy on the finish.
O: Not much different to me than their Indian Summer. Very average. As a pale ale, weak.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle as Deep South Pale Ale from Julie who got it at Spec’s in San Antonio. Pours light amber with a slight off-white head. Aroma of lightly roasted malt with some citrus? hop. Med body. It’s APA roast malt, and there seems to be strong hop - but the hop is like fruit and pecan? A rather unique APA IMHO. Wouldn’t be my goto beer, but few APAs would. Certainly a good bitter, hoppy finish.

This beer has a flavor strong in hops. It leaves a bad aftertaste in my mouth making me think the beer is stale. One of these was enough for me the remaining ones I have will to make beer bread.
