Tap as N’Awlins Gold: Pours a straw gold color with a white head. The nose is fresh and toasty with some light hop accents. The flavor is biscuity with a nice clean light malty flavor and a subtle honey and hop finish. Clean and nice, golds don’t have to suck.

Pours a nice clear color with a yellow-orange hue. Smell was somewhat faint, but I did notice a sweetness, no hop character. Mouthfeel was not too light, but a smooth with a medium bodied. Taste was of malt and sweetness, maybe from the honey. This beer had quite a bit of bread and sourdough character to it, intersting . Nice beer.

Copper with light, white head / Toasty barley nose / Medium body, lightly sweet and chewy, with good balance and fair finish / Light flavors of toast, grain, dry hops, and caramel / Decent, but undistinguished.

On draft as "N’Awlins Gold" in a French Quarter restaurant. Dark for a "gold" beer, tangy in nature and well bodied. Quite delicious for a light beer for the everyday market. (#4026, 12/12/2010)

Now available in southeastern Louisiana as "New Orleans Gold". Pours a rich but light gold color with a medium sized head. Sweet nose. Sweet and slightly tart taste with a clean sweet malt finish.

Draft served in a pint glass at the Royal Street Bar (R-Bar) in New Orleans. Renamed N’awlins Golden Ale for the New Orleans market; I read this pseudonym had something to do with the NO distributor and legal issues, yada yada yada. I wound up seeing it several places in NO throughout the weekend under that name. Pours a clear gold with almost no head. Aroma and flavor are pretty similar- notes of honey, straw, malts, sugar, and some hops. Light-medium bodied, with low carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. Nice honey ale.

Draft from Mellow Mushroom in Flowood, MS. Small but definite head, nice golden color with some carbonation. Very nice, if weak, sweet aroma. Had a very pleasing, solid but not thick mouth feel. Definitely sweet but I didn’t really notice honey. Others noted citrus - and it was very week. I noticed more of a grape/wine note - reminded me a bit of a St. Pauli girl but not as European or strong a flavor. Will be a great brew during the summer.
