3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Thin tan head with a light amber color. Smooth and not as bitter as I had expected. Mild but smooth with a light after taste of pecan that does not overwhelm. This beer exceeded my expectations.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a dark and clear amber with a thinner, light beige head. A very muted aroma does have pecans, along with toast and caramel. The taste is like the aroma, but has a bit more intensity. It has more pecans and caramel, with some minor impressions of bread, toffee, and nuts. Aftertaste is is caramel and pecan, and while not very potent, it does stick with you. Light to medium in body, medium textured, with average carbonation. This one isn’t very memorable.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a medium clear brown. The pecans aren't too strong, and play well with the sweetness. Nice, refreshing and different.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at home in CT. Pours clear, light red-brown with a flimsy cream head. Little in the way of aroma, just some light toast and apples. Light sweet flavor with low bitterness, some mellow bready malts, suggestions of caramel. Light bodied with average carbonation. Mild sweetness on the finish with more toast, some lightly toasted sugar, leafy bitterness...not much else. Highly simplistic beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours clear dark copper, slight thin head, little lacing. Aroma caramel, toasted bread, slight nuttiness, a bit of fruity esters. Taste toasted malt, nutty, caramel, slight earthy bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel thinnish body, medium low carbonation, sweet finish. Overall a bit complex, but flavors fairly "watered down" not enough pecan flavor to make it interesting, very drinkable though.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I really liked this one! Not all that impressive at first nose, but the taste with just a hint of pecan to make it different. Nice bready, malty and no hop bitterness---nice change from all the IPA’s flooding the market

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This beer is very smooth compared to other nut ales there is no bitterness to it. It doesn’t smell like pecans but you do get a taste of it on the back end. Very good!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma is malty. Herbaceous almost like a Christmas ale. Cinnamon. Basil. Rosemary.
Looks fine. Tan head. Medium dark brown.
Taste is solid. Malty. Those herbs come through. As does a little nuttiness. Almond. A little like... Acid throw up note? But not in a bad way.
Palate is smooth and light.
One of two brown ales to date that I actually like. Don’t think brown ales should even exist but this is a glimmer of hope. Malt is the driving force but there are enough subtle notes to keep it interesting. Should be good for noobs or experts.
