Oakes (6779), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 28, 2005 Golden-brown colour. Slightly sweaty, nutty aroma. Faint nuttiness in a light, vaguely malt-accented body. Slight smoke in the finish. kp (6000), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Feb 4, 2008Date: 03/23/2005

CaptainCougar (4596), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 25, 2008 Pours a transparent copper amber with a spotty-lacing light tan head. Aroma of toasty caramel and nutty pecans. Body starts with average fullness, lightly sweet toasty pale malts and effervescent carbonation before a thinner, watery, mildy nutty finish. An ok brown ale, but nothing special. hopscotch (4358), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Oct 26, 2007 Bottle… Crystal clear ruby ale with a small, creamy, beige head. Notes of pecans, cereal grains and light milk chocolate swirl together to establish a wonderful aroma. The flavor is of medium sweet brown malts and nuts. Adequately bittered for terrific balance. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with mild carbonation. Tactfully sweet, nutty finish. I could drink this beer all day! Thanks go out to dsnowden for breaking out the party pig! Cornfield (4245), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Apr 30, 2008 Thanks to a BA guy who was hanging around the The LoSBD table at DLD. Unbeknownst to him, he gave me a new state. With my dietary woes, I get much of my protein from nuts and beans. I’m sure glad that this was seasoned with the former. From the bottle it poured a light brown body (chestnut, perhaps?) with a modest white head. It has a sweet worty aroma enhanced by what seemed to be a pecan extract. Just enough of a soft nut bitterness is added to the flavor to keep it from getting cloying. Sessionable. <font size=-4> Dark Lord Day 2008 at Three Floyds, Munster, IN, 4/26/2008.<font size=-1>
