3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Had on draft. Poured into a pint glass and appeared a clear brown color. Slight aroma of the malt and nuts. The first sip I didnít get much, but I think the beer was just way too cold. After warming up the beer for about 15 minutes, was caramel malts with some slight hoppiness. As the beer continued to warm, some of the pecan nut taste started to appear.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Malted grain, caramel, a bit of earth, nuts, a hint of vanilla, and subtle floral hops in the aroma. I wouldnít be able to tell there are pecans in it from the nose alone. The mouthfeel is silky, with prickling carbonation and a light body. The taste is gently bitter, with nutty and malty sweetness rounding it out. Barley, floral hops, and a bit of nuts to finish off. The pecans become a lot more evident in the aftertaste, which decays into a fruity sensation. Not as exciting as it sounds (Iím a big proponent of pecans), but absolutely pleasant and very drinkable.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Got a 12oz bottle at Fresh Thyme market in Cincinnati. Pours clear brown with a fairly thin, soapy head. Aromas are light, but sweet and malty. Body seems a bit on the thin side, with fizzy carbonation. Flavor is soda-like, sweet...a bit weak, to be honest. There are some nutty notes, which you would expect from a brown ale. I suppose I get a little of the pecan flavorómostly in the finishóbut I would have expected the pecan flavor to be a lot more interesting for the way itís being hyped here. Mostly it just seems like an average brown ale; itís a bit uninspired. I love pecans, so I was hoping for more from this beer.
