daknole (492), Plantation, Florida, USA May 12, 2008 bottle, thanks to ddepsouth for this one. beer poured a medium, clear brown wtih a fizzy fairly short lasting head. Aroma is fairly malty with some evidence of pecans. Flavor profile is malty and some decent hops balance this one out well. Pecan flavor is evident, but if no one told you what was in it you might have a hard time guessing. Carbonation is a tad high, but overall this is a very drinkable and fun beer. Thanks again deepsouth!!
bwbeall812 (21), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA Jul 7, 2008 Bottle. Pours a reddish light brown with beige head and no lacing. Toasty nutty aroma. Very light nut brown ale with carbonated cola finish. A typical microbrew riversideAK (1444), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jul 3, 2008 Some buddies picked up a couple of bottles while on a road trip. Pours a light brownish red with a head that settles to a ring. Looks like cola. Nutty aroma with hints of sweetness. The flavor also has a little sweetness that is followed by a pleasant nutty aspect. Light, yet still somewhat flavorful. Pretty straightforward easy drinking brew. brianprentiss (375), Mountain View, California, USA Jun 28, 2008 A very tasty beer, something like Newcastle but a bit lighter. Very refreshing addition to a dinner at Guido’s in downtown Mobile. bu11zeye (3573), Frisco, Texas, USA Jun 28, 2008 (12oz. bottle) Pours a amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of cola, toasted pecans, and caramel. Flavor of caramel malt, nuts, and toasted bread. lb4lb (1233), Austin, Texas, USA Jun 24, 2008 Updated: Jun 25, 2008Bottle courtesy of Brianj555. Thanks
Pours a clear reddish brown with a short lived fizzy beige head. Smell is nutty malt and not much else. Taste is metallic up front, followed by a thin nutty malt flavor. Easy drinking, but too thin, and not very flavorful. I didn’t find this to be a very good brown ale.
