Southern Pecan Nut Brown Ale is the first beer in the world, to our knowledge, made with whole roasted pecans. The pecans are used just like grain and provide a nutty characteristic and a delightful depth to the flavor profile. This beer is very lightly hopped to allow the malty, caramel, and nutty flavors shine through. The color is dark mahogany. Southern Pecan won a Bronze Medal in the 2006 World Beer Cup in the Specialty Beer category.

Bottle thanks to MrBunn. Pours an expected nut brown with medium off-white head. Aroma is very nutty, sweet, hints of caramel, and malt. First half of 12oz bottle was very nice tasting very pleasant, nutty, with the right amount of sweetness. Second half was a bit difficult to finish. I think this is the perfect beer to share.

355ml bottle. Crystal clear, brown-ish amber colour with small to average, thick, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Minimally nuttily, caramel malty aroma. Taste is slightly sweet, nuttily malty, some caramel, a touch of toffee; smooth, soft and silk palate.

Tanks to uncle Matt, 12oz bottle from Lukas Liquor store Overland Park. Poured ice cold into shaped glass. Hardly any head. Slight nutty flavor and aroma.. Mild, no noticeable bitterness but does have a 'tang' at the front. Smooth at the end. Good beer. Good ale. I'll Billy it if I find it NM.

Sampled from a 0.33l bottle @ Haandfest 2015. This is a near clear looking one, deep amber or even a little rusty in the glass. Lacing just off white head, bubbly also. Sweet nose, caramellish. A little red Berry infused. Straws and birch. It’s a bit sweet in the taste also, but surprisingly well tasting. Red berries, caramel and toffee apples. Soft on the bubbles this one. Yeah, huge thanks for the sample Mr Cunningham. 30.05.2015

Bottled. Ambery brown colour with a mediumsized beige creamy head. Aroma is sweet malts, nutty, some floral and mild grassy notes. Flavour is quite similar, in a quite dry wooden notes.

Poured from bottle a amber with some off white head. Aroma was nutty, fresh cut wood, toasted malt. Taste was of a very nutty English brown. Nut was prevalent stright through the finish. Malt heavy and Slightly sweet but I did not get the pie that some got. I think the pecans imparted more nutty notes but sweetness was on par with other malt heavy English Browns for me. Interesting and enjoyed.

Pours a nice deep amber brown. Aromas of nuts, chocolate, and a touch of honey. Flavor has a bittersweet chocolate taste with big nut notes.

My new favorite ale! Sweet and nutty flavoring that is extremely smooth. Nice dark color with an overall pleasing experience.
