Draft at Proof. Deep amber pour with a small white head. Very sweet caramel malt aroma with piney hops. Flavor is similar and mostly sweet with dingy hop character. Thick body and moderate carbonation.

Pours a hazy gold on tap with thin lacy head that leaves a nice ring of lacing. Aroma of fruity sweetness, slight floral grassy notes. Taste is super floral and bitter, odd watermelon jolly rancher finish. Meh, not for me.

For a rye ipa it fails. Bitter not balanced decent mouthfeel. Decent head. But very similar to the other brews they have. Disappointing for the abv.

Bottle from Total Wine Stuart. Pours orange with a quarter inch of white foam. Has a bit of pine on the nose. Kind of sweet on the tongue which I guess is the rye. Doesn’t have much bitterness unfortunately. Hides the alcohol well but is not very interesting.

Poured from draft at the copper monkey in New Orleans. Cloudy orange. Foamy head. Very bitter. Great hops. Floral and citrus yumminess. Good

12 oz bottle. (Stein’s Deli) New Orleans, LA.
Clear amber colour with a small white head. Delicious aroma of sweet fruits and some piny hops and mild bitterness. The flavour is rather bitter. Resiny and piny hops and sweet malt. Balanced. Rich and tasty. Excellent IIPA.

Bottle pours yellow orange with fluffy white head. Earthy hop aroma. Some malt and rye taste followed by the hops, mainly earthy and pine. I didn’t notice any citrus to speak of. Finish prolonged hop bitterness. Nice full palate. I know it’s a DIPA, but hops just dominated too much for my taste.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 12 oz Bottle. The beers pours to a dark orange color with a medium tan head. The aroma has a slight alcohol smell with hints of pine & citrus hop notes to it. The taste has a medium body to it with very slight bitter finish. Overall a good DIPA.

12oz bottle, shared by alexsdad06. Mildly hazy amber orange color. Thin off-white head. Good bits and short ropes of lace. Orange citrus hops, caramel malts. Nice spicy rye tingle. More malt forward, but a nice malt character to it. Moderate sweetness, light bitter, less than expected. Alcohol is pretty well hidden. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation, lightly crisp, with a more dry finish. An alright DIPA at this point, seems like it would have been much better very fresh. The rye component is still very enjoyable, though.

Bottle to snifter (shared by alexsdad06). Looks good; a fairly transparent orange with off-white lacing. Smells and tastes of big malt and bitter hops with some rye spice. Average on the palate. Solid beer, but a bit underwhelming for the style.
