Yeasty and bread nose. Palate follows suit. Well made pilsner beer. One of the better beers of this style

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler from Lazy Monk Brewery Taphouse. Pours a beautiful deep gold with medium white head. Nose has rich dough with toasty overtones of fresh baked bread backed by assertive noble hops with an aroma of hay and herbs. Palate is very round rich and full for such a pale style. Flavor is hearty and breadlike but also quite refreshing, with slightly bitter herbal hop notes throughout which linger long into the finish, in fact after each swig fresh hop tang remains in the mouth for 3-4 minutes. Absolutely delicious stuff.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at GNBF. Poured clear, bright golden with a short-ish white head. The aroma picked up sweet honey and bread with fresh orange and grassy hops around.. well-balanced. The flavor found semi-sweet honey and pale malts at the core.. fresh, mostly grassy bitterness around.. a touch tangy and metallic on the finish. Lighter-bodied and crisp on the palate.. very good feel and flow.. good example of the style.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours dark gold with quickly disapating head (from growler). Herbal aroma with earth and yeast backing it up. A great balance of hops and breadiness, actually has a good amount of carbonation. Nice malt character to give everything body, quite unlike American pilsners. A very very easy drinker, sitting out grilling and having a glass of this would be a most excellent day. I really enjoyed this and at the start of summer I found my stand by since it would be uncouth of me to drink imperial stouts year round.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Had this beer at the 4th Annual Casanova Beer Cave Festival. Not a huge fan of pilsners, but I enjoyed this one.

This was pretty spot on for the style, actually. Not my personal favorite style, but not too shabby overall!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at the Casanova Beer Cave festival. Clear gold pour, soapy white head. Bready malts - quite enjoyable. One of the better pilseners I’ve tried.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
From growler, pours a pale golden/orange with a large white head. Mild spicy hop aroma, with graham cracker, and slight yeast. Taste is bready malt, yeast and mild spciy hops. Well balanced, light, clean, and very refreshing. I understand the brewer is originally from Czech, and it shows, nice!

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Growler. Pours golden/yellow with a subtle earthy aroma. Head disspates quickly with very little lacing. Light/Medium body finish with grassy notes and a citrus sweatness that is a bit much for me in regards to the style. Overall an ok entry beer, but nothing I will seek out.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Growler from Casanova in Hudson. Pours a clear gold/lemon with frothy white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is very earthy, a log of bread and cereal notes. Very grassy notes. Flavor is rather nutty, floral with a mix of mild mild mild bitter citrus from the touch of hops. Not as hoppy as American style pilsners. More on the traditional German side but still a bit of a bite form the hops.
