COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle 500ml. @ home.

[ As Le Bilboquet Corriveau ].
Clear dark black color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, oat, moderate chocolate. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted bitter, coffee bitter, chocolate sweet, oat smooth. Easy, balanced and very good. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20140714]

500 mL bottle courtesy of Raphael, served in a stem glass next to the Impériale version. Pours black with a moderate tan head that remains and leaves a large amount of fine lace. The nose has big notes of roast malts, coffee, dark chocolate and oats, along with earth and herbal hops. The flavour is fairly sweet with roasted malts, coffee, subtle smoke, earth and delicate hops. The finish is long and roasty, with subtle smoke. On the palate it is full in body with a smooth, milky texture and soft carbonation. Overall, a nice stout that is somewhat on the sweeter side. 2014-06-19
