rederic (1513), montréal, Quebec, Canada Aug 18, 2006 Hazy amber-orangeish hue, with a simple white ring of head, yeasty, but following some unpleasant winey, vinous notes of fruitiness, wheaty accent, pale malt, and spicy aroma of ginger and coriander follows through on a light-bodied palate with a zesty yeasty winey character, fruity notes of wildberries, like blackberry, strawberry and raspberry, wheaty, honeyish spiciness, leading towards a tart fruity finish. This beer didn’t deserve the 65km bicycle road trip from montréal. Ungstrup (11713), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 1, 2005 A pitch black beer with a small brown head. The aroma is slightly sour combined with slight notes of chocolate. The flavor is very roasted with strong notes of bitter chocolate combined with grapefruit, leading to a dry end. Miguel (1181), Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, Canada Sep 17, 2005 Robe blonde voilée surmontée d’une mousse blanche. Arômes de levure, de blé et d’épices. Saveurs de de blé, de coriandre et de gingembre. Onctueuse. Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 28, 2005 Fully carbonated pale sand coloured beer topped by a beautiful creamy off-white head. Perfumey and orangey nose lets honey notes and fruit peel flavors shine through. Grainy palate, lots of bready yeast flavors pair the mellowest grassy hops and orange hints rather lazily. Rather airy mouthfeel, refreshing and highly carbonated. tiggmtl (4178), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jul 19, 2005 Mildly spicy aroma is clean and wheaty. Opaque, muddy, tan-brown body with low white head that diminishes to ring. Floral, orange, sweet and bready with low finishing bitterness. Medium-light body with fairly low carbonation and somewhat sticky texture. Sampled on tap at the brewpub with Oakes, Rastacouere and Ungstrup.
