RateandPillage (417), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 14, 2006 Pours medium to dark yellow, hazy/murky, with a big creamy persistent off-white head. Aroma is kind of funky with little to no hop aroma. Flavor is very un-lager like. Medium maltiness and fruitiness. Low to medium hop bitterness and no hop flavor. Tastes kind of soapy (glass?). Relatively flat, but that may be because of their transportation methods from the brewery (not in kegs, but looks like poured into some kind of serving container). Not a clean flavor like you would expect from a lager.
Pyobon (178), Sydney, Australia Dec 2, 2007 On tap in Eslite. Cloudy amber with white small dense head. Very little aroma - malt, slightly metallic / fruity maybe. The flavour was good, but not true to style. There was distinct hops with some bfruitiness (banana / lychee?) giving some acidity. Rather bland really, but refreshing and light with a fairly crisp hoppy finish. The palate was fizzy and medium bodied. It’s an OK beer, but not true to style.
