rauchbier (2877), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Feb 25, 2007 Bottle conditioned. Courtesy of David Smith. Hazy lemon gold, thin but lasting white head and moderate condition. Delicate lemon citrus, sweet grain and yeast in the mouth with some developing spicy floweriness emerging, pleasant dry hoppiness in the mouth with chalky pine resin notes, some flowery fruity malt and a hint of citrus, lingering yeasty sweet finish with a suggestion of elderflower at the end.
Spiesy (2333), Global Citizen, Greater London, England Jan 1, 2005 Bottled. Murky dull yellow colour. Wispy, thin white head. The thinnest of the beers and the weakest. It’s not a good representation of the breweries style or form. That said, Steve says the local clientele enjoy the style. Personally, I enjoy his intoxicating style and enthusiasm.
