Hazy rich orange, no head. Huge English hoppy ale aroma. Taste also clearly hoppy, maybe single varietal, but I can’t pick out which. When it warms a bit a good light malty taste comes through which provides some body, but not enough for me to wax lyrical about. Orange hazy color, no head. British, citrusy hops in the nose. A bit cellary, English hoppy, aromatic flavor. A bit lemony, but watery. Nice session beer for being French (owners are from the UK). oh6gdx (6460), Vaasa, Finland Jan 6, 2008 Bottled@Tuulensuu. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, earth and slightly bitter. Flavour is tropical fruits, nectar and some bittering hops. Really British style beer. bierkoning (5077), La Tropica, Netherlands May 25, 2007 Bottle. Orange golden color, hazy. Lovely aroma of apricot and flowery hops. Firm earthy and flowery, piney hopbitter flavor, with touches of apricot. Piney hopbitter aftertaste with lemon and apricot. Very well brewed ale with top quality ingredients. rauchbier (2877), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Feb 25, 2007 Bottle conditioned. Courtesy of David Smith. Hazy gold, good lasting white head and good condition. Pleasant sweet fruity citric aromas with a gentle hoppiness beneath, muted fruity yeast in the mouth with a solid grapefruit citrus hop note and a pleasant sweet maltiness, delicate dry chalky yeastiness in the finish with a low but lingering hop bitterness.
