Sampled from bottle @ RBBSG II. Opaque pitch black color, small to medium sized light brown head. Smell malts, slightly roasty, dark and overripe fruits. Taste malts, slightly roasty, dark and overripe fruits, average bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Quite nice.

Bottle conditioned, 750ml corked bottle. Jet black, thick, lasting coffee coloured head and gentle condition. Big spicy liquorice aroma, with background notes of coffee and roast barley. A liquorice sweetness in the mouth is kept in check by a gentle roastiness that contributes some dryness. It still has a degree of spicy fruitiness but less obvious than in the nose. Finish is short and coffee sweet with some roast barley dryness and a lingering liquorice note.

Shared 750ml bottle from the brewery itself. It pours a dark brown with light tan head. Aromas of coffee and chocolate. Very smooth. Dry, sweet and long finish. A very pleasant stout without the heaviness of this kind of beers. Very good!
