Brown pour, medium beige head. Very roasty, and toasty aroma, lots of nuttiness, and some caramels. It lacks the solky mouth feel i expect from an oatmeal stout, its actually kinda watery. Finish is again, very roasty, and there is a low to medium toasted nut, bitter finish. This is kinda like a stout, and very roasty brown ale hybrid.

660ml bottle from Les Marchands de Bière. Pour Dark red with minimal head. Smell light roasted nuts. Light coffee taste with a small bitterness finish. Ok Stout but can be better.

660 mL bottle. Pours black with a thick and lacy khaki head of foam. Deep and bready with aromas of coffee, dark caramel, cocoa, grain and herbal hop. Malty sweet but dry and slightly bitter on the finish with some astringent roast. Silky smooth on the palate with above average carbonation. Moderate body. Very good.

Bottle 660ml. Pours brown with low dark beige head. Aroma is of roasted malt. Taste is of roasted malt, some bitterness, very slight acidity. Palate: Light-medium body. Soft carbonation. Overall: Good, but somewhat one-sided (pretty much only roasted malt features emerge). And that slight acidity. Not bad, but not outstanding.

Excellent oatmeal stout. When I drink an oatmeal stout, I always compare it to the one brewed by St. Ambroise, which is one of the best stouts out there. Le Castor's one is, by comparison, more sweet, less complex and a little less beautiful (I was disappointed in the foam; it disappeared too fast). I prefer their IPA but Le Castor does an excellent job with this stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Deep brown with copper highlights and a very bubbly light brown head. Aroma is milk chocolate, caramel, light roast. Palate is thin and over-carbonated, and any hope of finding silky oats is lost. Simplistic.
