3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pale golden pour - tight white head. The aroma is lovely. Bright lemon/grapefruit with a bit of soft fruit. Some very lean pale malt and some crackery notes as well as the fresh hoppy notes. Clean and crisp with a nice lightly grassy finish.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Veux-Tu freshly picked and drank. A good tasting IPA, with lots of malt backbone holding back the 75 IBU impact until the last half of the bottle. Very good drinkability. Lots of head. Recommended.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: NOV 10, 2013 My Bottom Line:
Mango is puréed into plantain territory, and citrus fruit lead to coniferous resins for a highly drinkable, bright and perfumy India Pale Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam settles atop the misty golden.
-While the aroma is as cleanly expressed as possible, it is also nicely restrained. This is not a gorgeous aroma because it is super intense. It’s gorgeous because it is clearly presented, very enticing and never becomes too much.
-Carbonation is frothy and soft. This doesn’t feel forced at all and is perhaps the feature that pushes this brew into world-class territory for me.
-The supportive pale malts offer a delicate roundness, but not much in the way of flavor. Not that there’s anything wrong with that in the IPA category, obviously.
-A few sandy, mineral edges add depth to the already salient hop character.
-Bitterness is not off the charts here, which facilitates subsequent sips and makes one want to stick to this brew for the evening.
-No need to look for complexity here; this is just pure hop clarity proposed within high drinkability. A truly enjoyable New World IPA, better than many PNW examples.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
2013-06-01. Lightly hazy bright orange body small white head. 3+ Aroma of tangerine, leafy green undertones, bits of apricot/tropical fruit character. Flavour is pleasantly hoppy, decent citrus character, light green leaf, muted resin. Light yeasty character as it warms. Average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation is pretty nice for a cask, but I think I want it on tap. On cask at Benelux, Montreal

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle shared at RBAG 2013, obtained in trade from Gikiniji-- thanks buddy! Hazy yellow with a dense white crown. Crazy dense hop aroma, pungent, resinous, with citrus oils too. Thickly hoppy-- this is like hop porn! This is what I expected from Heady Topper (Ferris and I chatted about this). Fantastic!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle [660ml] c/o Glouglouburp. Pours golden-orange with a large semi-lasting fluffy off-white head. Nice aroma of resiny hops, also floral, and with a good amount of tropical fruit and citrus. Pleasant flavour follows the aroma and is quite easy to drink. Long dry bitter finish. Medium bodied. Great stuff and one of the best IPAs I’ve ever had from Quebec.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
650mL bottle, pours a cloudy pale orange-tinted yellow with a small white head. Nose is full of citrus zest, floral hops, and dry crackery malt. Flavour brings out intensely floral hops, some dry citrus zest, more floral notes, and uber dry crackery malts. This is quite reminiscent of Hill Farmstead hoppy beers. Highly drinkable stuff. I could drink gallons of this stuff.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle: Poured a slightly hazy golden color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of grapefruit and resinous hoppy notes is quite intense with nice floral notes. Taste is dominated by citrus and resinous hoppy notes with floral undertones with dry malt base and some bitterness at the end. Body is about average with great carbonation. Quite an impressive beer with great hops punch and citrus notes while limiting the bitterness level.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
pours slightly hazy bright yellow with a nice white head, good retention and lacing. bright and fresh citrus, light pine, crisp pale malts, hint of graininess, pepper, fruitiness - mangos, pears and some tropicalness, few ginger and other spicy notes. soft carbonation, light body - oily mouthfeel, short to medium long grapefruity finish. hint of sweetness and overall very nice balance... seriously impressed by recent ipa releases in quebec!
