BroueNeault (157), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Feb 6, 2005 Standard looking yellow beer with a nice white head. Fruity and yeasty aroma, sweet malt aroma and some bitterness finish. I think it is quite ok.
pootzboy (900), Calgary/ Kitchener, Alberta, Canada Oct 16, 2008 Bottle from trade:
Puts a hazed gold ale in the glass with a great frothy cap and great lacing. Lively carbonation.
Aroma is pleasant with fruits and grains and a nice undertone of piney hop.
Slick mouth feel, chewy-honyy-caramel malts in the front turn more complex in the middle; yeasty, fruity, some toastines....longer finish turns a tad sweet.
Certainly not what I expected. This is a strange cat for a commercial craft brew....unique tasting and flavourful. swoopjones (1240), Buffalo, New York, USA May 3, 2008 Bottle.Blonde ale, big fluffy white head, hightly carbonated, spritzy. Slight tart & sourness. Fruity, light caramel malt sweetness. Got a little better as temp rose but not much Glouglouburp (2113), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jan 16, 2008 In short: A micro blonde ale imitating a macro blonde ale
How: Bottle 341ml, date unknown but consumed right after purchase.
The look: Clear blonde body with a short-lived white head
In long: Very very light honeyed cereals. A bit citric/acidic but without an associated lemon taste or something, just plain acidity. Light cabbage notes. Aggressive carbonation. Unpleasant acidic finish. Quality-wise this is about on par with the average macro. And they call it the Quebecer Ale. Insulting. I’ll like to insult it back by saying this is faggot beer but that’s not even an insult since it also goes by the alias Pride sold in the Montreal gay village during the Gay Pride week. Shame.
Cartoonkhaki (1125), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Jan 22, 2007 Had as Pride Ale:
