2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark straw colour with pretty much no head. Malty and slightly skunky aroma (despite being in a brown bottle). Flavour is clean and sweet with a little noble hops up front and a dominant 2-row malt flavour. Light to medium body with significant carbonation. Really not much to it.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Originally rated April 2006. Pours a light golden colour with a small white head. Average retention, but decent lace. Above-average carbonation. Sharp malty nose, kind of like malt liquor, but not sweet. Smooth mouthfeel and mild taste. Notes of grain malt and no corn. Slight bitterness in the finish. Metallic undertones. As mentioned above, this is their house beer, so nothing fancy here, but refreshing.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from trade:
Puts a hazed gold ale in the glass with a great frothy cap and great lacing. Lively carbonation.
Aroma is pleasant with fruits and grains and a nice undertone of piney hop.
Slick mouth feel, chewy-honyy-caramel malts in the front turn more complex in the middle; yeasty, fruity, some toastines....longer finish turns a tad sweet.
Certainly not what I expected. This is a strange cat for a commercial craft brew....unique tasting and flavourful.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
In short: A micro blonde ale imitating a macro blonde ale
How: Bottle 341ml, date unknown but consumed right after purchase.
The look: Clear blonde body with a short-lived white head
In long: Very very light honeyed cereals. A bit citric/acidic but without an associated lemon taste or something, just plain acidity. Light cabbage notes. Aggressive carbonation. Unpleasant acidic finish. Quality-wise this is about on par with the average macro. And they call it the Quebecer Ale. Insulting. I’ll like to insult it back by saying this is faggot beer but that’s not even an insult since it also goes by the alias Pride sold in the Montreal gay village during the Gay Pride week. Shame.

Bouteille de 341 ml. Jaune super claire, moyen collet qui dure. Arome de malte citroné, type commercial. Goût métalique implaisant, un peu d’agrume mais ouf!

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Golden in colour, the fizzy white head was gone before the end of the pour, no lacing. The aroma is quite sweet, some glue, apple juice, herbal hops. The flavour was of apples and peaches, floral, soapy, light grains. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a mild lingering bitterness, some chalk. Pretty average, nothing wrong but nothing screaming at me to get another bottle.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle (341ml). As Pride - thanks to turg for the trade. Robust pop on twisting off, poured very bubbly hazy light gold with a huge fizzy-foamy-pillowy white head. Light fruits, plenty of yeast, and an almost tarry caramel malt - pretty surprising in such a pale beer. Taste is also an odd mix of oily candy-sweet light roast malt and yeast & fruit (I agree with JoeMcPhee, very much a strawberry yoghurt taste here) - very sweet, but helped by an extremely lively mouthfeel, pretty solid in body, syrupy, quick off the tongue and no foul aftertaste. I guess it’s an extra-malty Québec belgian blond ale - I would actually be happy to drink this again. I’m shocked at how high my rating is, but there you are ....

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle 341 ml. (New version now called QA) Golden yellow color with a small foamy white head. Fruity and yeasty aroma. Flavor of fruits but rather bland. Thin body and a bit watery. Some bitterness in the finish. Nothing offensive about this beer but very little to brag about it.
