Saveur: Goût d’houblons et de malt. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture crémeuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Présence d’amertume en arrière goût. May 16, 2005 Rather shy nose, with light malty hints . Good complexity , light spiced ale with gentle bittering . I like the outcome . Very nice.

May 8, 2005 Pours a cloudy dark amber color with a thin white head. Aroma of spicy and citrusy (?) hops with caramel. Flavor of spicy and citrusy hops with caramel and a lasting bitter finish. Light to medium body, dry texture, moderate carbonation. It’ interesting but the hops don’t seem to fit with the altbier style.

May 1, 2005 Cloudy chestnut brown, sticky off-white head resuming to cover. Subtly peppery and spicy hops accompany a mostly earthy malt profile with coffee hints. Dry hopped? Peaty, dry, bitter and floral. Nutty and leafy spalt?/golding? Hops. Well distributed carbonation, crisp palate. Good stuff, Le Cheval is on a winning streak it seems.
