Nekronos (2017), Xalapa, Mexico Sep 18, 2006 Veyr good,a lthough it may be a little too hoppy for the style. But good in general.
(Rating #609) Radek Kliber (3403), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 16, 2005 Rather shy nose, with light malty hints . Good complexity , light spiced ale with gentle bittering . I like the outcome . Very nice. beerbuzzmontreal (2769), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 8, 2005 Pours a cloudy dark amber color with a thin white head. Aroma of spicy and citrusy (?) hops with caramel. Flavor of spicy and citrusy hops with caramel and a lasting bitter finish. Light to medium body, dry texture, moderate carbonation. It’ interesting but the hops don’t seem to fit with the altbier style. Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada May 1, 2005 Cloudy chestnut brown, sticky off-white head resuming to cover. Subtly peppery and spicy hops accompany a mostly earthy malt profile with coffee hints. Dry hopped? Peaty, dry, bitter and floral. Nutty and leafy spalt?/golding? Hops. Well distributed carbonation, crisp palate. Good stuff, Le Cheval is on a winning streak it seems.
