Dégustée en fût sur place. de couleur ambrée et voilée. Nez malté de caramel doux, léger de levures fruitées (agrumes) avec des notes de de houblon floral et de pain grillé. Rondeur moyenne en bouche avec un pétillement moyen. Léger goût de levures fruitées (agrumes) lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi d’un goût malté sucré de caramel doux aux notes terreuses et rôties ainsi qu’avec des traces de toffee et de pain puis en finale l’on retrouve goût légèrement amer de houblon floral avec des petites notes herbeuses. Post-goût moyen, légèrement amer de houblon floral avec des notes d’agrumes et quelques traces épicées (poivre doux). (printemps 2006)

On tap at Le Cheval Blanc, pours hazy amber wit a medium beige head. Aroma of dry caramel malts, earthy notes and some fruitiness. Flavour of berry-like dark fruits upfront, some dry caramel malts and earthy hops. Fairly full-flavoured considering the style and ABV, and very well-balanced. Quite drinkable.

En fût au Cheval Blanc. Couleur ambrée, mousse beige pâle. Arôme de malt caramel. En bouche, assez de goût, malt caramel, un peu de houblon. Très bonne ambrée.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is roasted malty and slight breadish. Roasted malty and slight caramelish. Toasted malty and caramelish. Bitter and slight herbal finish.

Cask at the brewpub. Brown with a nice beige head. Smells dry-hopped - like a floral APA. Not strong, though. Taste is about the same. No hint of caramalts. Not bad.

Un verre sur place. Le liquide est ambré foncé comme un très vieux sauternes. La mousse est du même acabit. Le nez offre une belle complexité et une guerre entre le caramel et les houblons. La bouche est quelque peu sucrée, elle goûte beaucoup le caramel ce qui laisse peu de place au houblon. Elle est facile à boire.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a copper color with a small white head. A smooth caramel and spicy hop nose. A pretty nondescript easygoing amber ale; sweet caramel, earthy malts, light spicy hops. Not bad.

Clear amber topped by a thick white head that slowly dissapears. spicy phenolic aromas of hay, cloves and something almost like barnard. Medium body, some caramel notes with cinnamon and cloves and a well integrated bitterness. Finishes a little thin with a chalky note. An easy but tasty session american amber ale. Well done.

On tap at La Cheval Blanc. Pours a clear brown amber with a very thick white head. Light hoppy nose, with a lot of grain behind it. Medium bodied, and metallic. Lager style finish with a bit of hoppy bitterness, and even more metal. Couldn’t finish this one.
