A caramel colored beer with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel, combined with some notes of wood. The flavor is very dry malty with notes of caramel, wood, and nutmeg, before a spicy dry end sets in.

RBSG 2005: Poured clear light brown with a small head. Mild caramel and malt aroma. Moderate hop flavor and well balanced with malt. Easy drinking and smooth. Good.

2005 RBSG Montreal Saturday. Dark amber colour with a frothy off-white head. Toasty, fruity, and light caramel aroma. Caramel up front with a fruity and lightly earthy bitter finish. Dry, fizzy, and medium bodied.

on tap at the brewpub, pours a reddish body with a creamy head. aroma was sweet, but not sure exactly what was in there with the smoke in the pub wafting around. flavor was very nice, caramel was prominent along with some sweet malts. i thought the body could have been a little less watery, and there was a just a touch of bitterness on the aftertaste. all togther, a very drinkable and enjoyable beer.

On tap at the pub with Eructoblaster ;) Copper to amber color with light head. Light grape aroma. Cold metallic palate than changes to a fair malt/caramel taste as the beer warms up. Lacks a bit of punch perhaps.

On tap at the pub with PrimeMinister. Amber/copper body topped with a thin off-white creamy head. Decent malty aroma with light hints of caramel and brown sugar. Well-balanced malty/hoppy taste with sweet hints. Fair bitter finish. Average amber ale.
