beerbuzzmontreal (2769), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 2, 2008 Cloudy golden pour with a thin white head. Interesting aroma of saaz hops with a herbal presence, spices and yeast. The flavor is very sharp and dry, saaz hops blend well with the spices, herbs and yeast while bitterness appears in the end, the mouthfeel is creamy. This beer seems much improved if I compare with previous ratings, it was quite pleasant.

LadySusan (382), Ste-Therese, Quebec, Canada Mar 14, 2007 On tap at Cheval Blanc The color is a cloudy blond with short lasting head. You can taste and smell some citrus fruits, but there is something missing to call it a Belgium ale, just not enough body to it. TaktikMTL (2042), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada Feb 7, 2007 En fût. (Rating #857) Glouglouburp (2113), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jan 29, 2007 Updated: Jan 30, 2007Cloudy dark blonde body topped by a white ring of foam. Citrus fruits (mainly peach) aroma. This very yeasty and cake-like malty body gives a floury mouthfeel/taste. Well balanced by a generous amount of hops. Hops feel really belgian but with a higher bitterness level than usual. Long dry bitter and herbal finish. Well brewed beer that achieves what it wants to achieve but I have a problem with a Belgian Pale Ale. Inappropriate clash of styles, like full contact chess or extreme macramé.
