(1144-170714)

Le cheval Blanc, Montreal tap: Pours a hazy yellow with a cascading white head. Aroma is pineapple, more pineapple, other tropical fruits. Taste is completely unsurprisingly very tropical. The bitterness is on the extreme low end of the IPA spectrum, but I don’t think that this beer really cares. It has other things to do. That is, to be very, very fruity. Soft mouth feel. Well pulled off. Clever.

Tap at the modnaile 2014. Hazy golden pour, big white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, quite sweet with light citrus. Very high carb, very active moith feel. The finish is crisp, and dry. Light to medium bitterness, lots of sweet tropical fruit, and again, just hints of citrus zest. I cant find any traces of the cocoa at all.

Draft: Poured a bright yellow color ale with a large foamy had with great retention and some lacing. Aroma of pineapple and coconut is incredibly refreshing with some tropical fruit notes also noticeable. Taste is a great mix between some coconut notes with loads of pineapple juice with huge floral hoppy notes of tropical fruits. Body is about average with great carbonation. Not sure what I would be willing to do to get this on a regular basis.

tap at mondial 2014, mtl. cloudy pale golden with a very creamy off-white cap, good retention and strong lacing. doughy honeyed and bready maltiness, tons of pineapple, toasted sweetened coconut, melons, citrus, fresh grass and soft pine. moderate to soft carbonation, medium body - oily, feels just a tad heavy, aromatic coconut-pineapple-citrusy finish. original and tasty - never overdone.

[Draught at the brewpub] Looks gorgeous, I wonder if this was on nitro? Pours a hazy orange-copper with an average size long-lasting frothy white head. Mild but lovely aroma of pineapple, coconut and a good amount of hops. Flavour: Wow! Equal amount of hops, coconut and pineapple -- it’s different and delicious. Medium bodied. Superb.

@Mondial. On nitro, cream and roast, very balanced and drinkable coconut and pineapple, smooth drinker.
